I really would like to know how many mylotters have ever thought of how amazing this planet is and that eveything on it is a living being in its own right..from our own human bodys and how we function, the animals-but also to the earth beneath us where we walk the flowers that live each season and then die but still know when to come back to life the following year and even when plucked the flower lets a scream out as it hurts the plant..the trees that have lived hundredsof years and stand tall strong and knowledgable of what they have seen and heard...rocks that are living and breathing organisms that have been here for hundreds of years and have survived the test of time..how many of us just go about our daily lives not hearing the birds sing hear the trees blow in the wind how many of us actually take Mother Nature for granted and not think of her amazing beauty yet awesome power-whichis perhaps is the only way she can make herself known.. Please share what you think on this topic-there are so many things in and on this planet that we know and aren't aware of..

I spend a lot of time being at one with Nature. I love the countryside, and all that's in it. I class it as the second best gift we have been given. I often stand and contemplate Nature, and life, in the same vein. In fact, I wrote a discussion just this morning, about the wonders of nature, and I've also written a discussion about rainbows, walks I've taken and the natural world, an earthquake, and various other life treasures. I study the moon and the night sky, as well as the lambs and sheep in the field at the bottom of my garden. I never let a day go by where I don't open the curtains in the morning, and wonder at all we have for a few moments. Brightest Blessings.

Hello again, my dear friend. Yes, I do have a great affinity with nature. I also love to visit the megalithic and neolithic sites we have been bestowed with, and ancient burial places, like Wayland's Smithy, (where I had a strange experience) and West Kennett Longbarrow, etc. Of all the places I've been though, the Chalice Well Gardens have seemed to be the most spiritual and rewarding for me. There are lots of places that come close, but I feel I have been in that part of the country in a past life. In fact, I know I have... there is a spiritual connection which I can't explain, except to say that I sat in a couple of places there and visualised who I had been and when. I also had a similar experience on Dartmoor. I was in the car, but there was something there. I won't explain in here, because people will think I've gone nuts, but it was so real, I couldn't ignore it. I love the West Country, probably almost as much as our home country, of West Sussex. Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors have a pull for me too. I guess that's why I love the countryside so much... there is some path there I have trodden before. Thank you for BR, as well my friend. Take care.

Count me in, I appreciate our nature very well. There are place in the city that you can still find some area who have so beautiful nature. It really makes me feel relax and feel safe. I even don't know why. The first time i go to my mother's province was one of my great experience as i saw how beautiful it is. I am not against being on the city with high technology but i can't stop to be amaze on the place.

To be surrounded in nature and the quietness and solitude of the humdrum cities i find is the most relaxing and peaceful ways of resting your mind and body just to appreciate the beauty around you that is so seldom seen in towns and cities, it is nice to know that you find this time and place calming for you-thanks for your response-littleowl

Hi littleowl, Thank you for starting this discussion. We do live in a beautiful world, and most of the time we pay no attention. It is very true that everything is alive including the earth itself. I have read that native Americans would ask permission from a flower before picking it. They lived close to the earth and nature, we have created urban jungles. I love spenting time in nature, listening to the sounds. I also love being around animals. Blessings.

hello Pose-thanks for your response, it is so peaceful to spend time with nature and just listen to her isn't it,before i pluck a flower or cut a herb etc i always ask permission and leave a small offering of salt or water for it as i do believe that what we take from the earth should also be returned that it may still flourish and as a thank-you for letting me take what i need-it also part of mybelief-bright blessings littleowl

Oh the power and beauty of nature that so many people don't seem to appreciate. I am so lucky as I have a wooded walk next to my home by a field of horses and a stream with beautiful willow trees all along the edge and within 10 minutes I can walk to the sea. I for one do appreciate this beauty all around us. I wake up to the birds singing, no alarm clock for me... Ellie :D

Well, when you think about that you also must think about how small our planet is in the scale of the universe. I can't help but remember that moment in An Inconvenient Truth when Al Gore showed the photo of our solar system from deep space. Our planet, which we refer to as "the world", and on which all of our history has taken place, was only a tiny blue dot.

hello 'paintguru-that is so true and another thing i look at-it is amazing how vast the universe is and how small we are,but it is such a shame how mistreated our small world is treated don't you think? we still have so much to learn about the universe and life that is within it as much as people don't beleive there is i am one who does as we are not alone-all planets and galxys have life of some kind and also a lifeform of somekind, maybe not like us but in some other form-thanks for your response-littleowl

We born in nature, Live in nature and mingle with nature after we passes away. Every human being have a sense of nature. It varies from individual to individul. I enjoy nature very much. while passing through mountains, rivers, water falls, forests, fields, riverbeds, seashore, looking at sky from ground and while travelling in aircraft, and viewing earth from aircraft. Viewing birds, trees, plants, flowers, vegetables and fruits hanging in trees and plants gives me immense pleasure. Seeing domestic animals, forest animals from Elephant to deer, we derive happines. Nature is our mother. She is beautiful and generous. we have seen a few from her, and a lot have to be seen and learn about planets, stars etc.

That is beautiful ganga-it makes me so happy to see how you love Mother Nature and all the beauty of her in every way, thank you so much for sharing this,it enlightens me to think that a few of us see her this way-we still do have to learn so much about her but the saddest thing is if man does not stop being so cruel and destructive we will lose these wonderful things on our planet-blessings littleowl

Unfortunately there probably isn't enough of us who truely appreciate our planet. It's an amazing organism ,full of life. It makes me very sad to see how we are treating mother earth. I have great concerns that my great great grand children will never enjoy it the way we do today. We are quickly approaching a water crisis that will change the way life is on earth...
