I prefer English. You tend to prefer the language you were born and raised with. But for a second language I would rather speak Spanish. Was forced to learn some French in school. Nothing builds up a barrier like being forced to learn something your dont really want to learn.

I prefer English because I don't have to listen too much to understand, French is OK but requires a little more of my attention.

Definately English as it is really the only language that I speak, although I did learn French when I was in High School. I also have a smattering of Polish and German but cannot converse in them. :)

My first choice will always be HINDI because that is my mother tongue. Everyone should respect their mother tongue. Afterwards it is ENGLISH because you need to know english now a days to communicate with people from different parts of the world. I just know a few words in french but, French also is a very good and poetic languauge.

I can only speak and understand English, but I do believe that French is a beautiful language to listen too. But the best is Italian.
