Has anyone ever gone and either boughten or borrowed a for dummies book? Did you find them helpful or too simplistic? Which ones have you read? Or even one of the for idiots books. I think there might even be something like _____ for the rest of us books as well...have you read those?

I've used both "For Dummies" and "Idiot's Guide to..." books. It depends on the subject and how familiar I am with it. If it's something I want to know, but am totally unfamiliar with it, one of these basic books gets me on track in a hurry. If it's something I'm more familiar with, but want to learn more, then books like these are too simple.

I'm reading the Dungeon Masters for dummies and Ebay for dummies right now The ebay one is too simplistic for me i keep going but i know that already. The DM one is awesome its got some practice adventures and tells you all sorts of tips i'm finding handy (im a beginner at the game but we need more DM's so when ours goes on holiday we don't have to miss weeks at a time again)
