Do you have an answer for everything?

I was told the other day during a bit of an argument that I had an answer for everything. I don't claim to have answers for everything but it seems like when I'm having a heated discussion or even a conversation, that I do have an answer to everything. Basically, I just can't shut up! That's a pretty true statement about me. I don't even think about answers they just come up automatically. So what kind of person are you in a discussion or debate? Do you have an answer for everything (especially when you feel attacked) or do you just shut up and say nothing because you can't come up with an answer? Quick thinking on your feet or just the opposite? Thanks for reading!

I have been told too taht i have answers for everything in the world and that to some extent can be true. While in a fight I can't keep mum about the issue i feel deeply about or in any other case.If there's something I feel which is questioning me or my abilities or my way I have my answers ready to lash out anybody who challenges me!! It could be wrong and unfair but I feel its extremely important to voice what you feel the most about and not taking anything lying down.Offcourse in some cases i have to follow the shut-up technique where the things are sensitive but in most cases I am the one answering best to my abilities!!!

No, but my husband does. And he makes sure I know that.

I'm not a quiet one in an argument....because I can't think of something.....but the 'something' I say doesn't necessarily make sense....and I usually end up arguing about something someway connected to the issue on hand...but which might not be exactly to the point. I also have to admit that most times...I am lost for words...but I still manage to come up with something that just rolls off my tongue!

I have done that before. I try to make as much sense as possible but there are times that I'm so mad I just start spouting things off. Thanks for the response.

Nope I am not quick off my feet when it comes to argueing. If I am being attacked I may answer a few times but if it gets out of hand then I let it go just so the other person can shush up. No point in carrying on a discussion (even if it is heated) if the other person isn't being reasonable.

I still walk away after I've punched their lights out first haha Kidding. I say one comment in a firm loud strong voice and then walk away. That usually quietens them down.

Good way of looking at things. The only bad thing with that is what if the other person just keep picking on you. That is where I have the problem shutting up and walking away. I feel like I have to defend myself against that "picking" or inside I feel like I'm backing down. That's hard for me. Thanks so much for the response.

Seriously I dont really hold back with anything on MyLot. This site was made to gather opinions and by golly thats what I am ready to give. In some discussions I have actually set out to make some people cry. I know, I am wicked in many ways but I'm not a Christian so I'm allowed to be evil sometimes! However, I always have SOMETHING to back me up when it comes to arguments. I am not one of those people who says "I'm right and your wrong, and thats it." I will be happy to explain to them exactly WHY they are wrong. Its different in real life. The internet is a pretty safe medium for voicing your opinions. In real life though its important to be diplomatic. It takes a bit more manipulation and tact to argue with someone face to face. I think most people who know me would agree that I am very even keeled and mild mannered. However... I am a red head... a gemini... and I'm gay. Thats a pretty expolosive combonation. For me to practice restraint is a very difficult task... especially where my wit is involved. I like to mix humor into my arguments to help people realize exactly how stupid they sound. Sarcasm is just another service I offer, free of charge :) I do have a very long fuse, but when I explode I leave a smoldering crater the size of 5 city blocks in my wake. Thats why I like MyLot so much. It's a nice outlet for all those strong opinions I WISH I could express publicly. However my reputation in real life is a bit more important to me so I know it is important to practice courtesy on a day to day basis.

There it is- Skinnychick in a nut shell! I'm exactly that way...EXACTLY! I do practice courtesy myself but some people are easier to do that with than others. Thanks for another AWESOME reponse! Yet again this is why you would be my boyfriend in another life. :) XOXOXOXOXO

I never do like that. If I don't know something I will say I don't know and ask someone who know it tell me.

I don't usually seem like I have an answer for everything. If I know about something I say that but if I'm not sure I just shut up or say what I think about it... just what i think but which doesn't have to be true. But I think that people like you are very important because they can help the conversation to keep going...

That's true, I like to keep conversations going. Arguments, not so much, but what will happen will happen with those. Thanks for the response.

I like to air my thoughts and opinions about certain issues, but I rarely go into debates. However if I am attacked, well, I snap back. I don't have answers for everything, but I definitely will not tolerate being attacked when I like to keep my peace.
