Okay, just had to share this... When i am looking at things online, I make a shortcut to my desk top to get back to it later to check it out and decided what to do with it. Often times I will want to read someones blog or site but just don't have time at the moment. But I do have a bad habit of letting them sit on the desktop for days before i get to them. Now all it is is the first bit of the name and usually just the Internet Explorer "E" icon that is shown on the desktop Well, My just turned 8 year old grand daughter plays on my computer. She loves dinosaurs and she researches them and kid places for games like Nick JR and Scholastic Kids- her current favorite site Well, she asked to "look for dinosaurs" so I said okay, and she goes on and turns the PC on. So later I walk in (mine takes about 5 minutes to power up) I went in to direct her to get to where she wanted to go, (her "icons" are on the right hand side of the screen, mine are on the left and my "check out laters" are in the middle) and we were talking about icons we already had on there of her favorite places and she noticed one that said "Make money online". so while we are talking, she says "i want to do that" and clicks on it! It was just someones blog about their experience with PTC and such. I told her that was just someone talking about it and she says "well I want to learn how to do that!". I let her look and we talked and I told her that is what I do and she wasn't that interested in it after all - I lost out to dinosaurs! So, just a tip - be careful what you leave on your "desktop" or at least make sure it is explainable!!! (LOL!!!!!)

the little ones are so much smarter these days and do amaze one but almost all the time dinosaurs will win out big time; Iused to workin the kids side of our local library and the biggest bookitems were always on dinosaurs. we even had one really big dinosaur book that cost a mint and I went to shelve it and dropped it. it opened up and lo andd behold someone had taken an exacto knife and cut out about two thirds of the pictures. wow what a mess and we had no idea how it was done without the culprit being caught as it had to have been done in the libary as the book was intact when it was checked in and put on my cart. so who knows.

Yes, unfortunately, dinosaurs win hands down! That is a shame about the book. Don't know why people have to destroy things

That's funny cause when her mom came to get her, she was at the PC and "googling" dinosaurs and doing a "create a shortcut" option to save the page she was on to the desktop for next time! Mom was quite surprised and amazed!

Yep, just cause they are not looking, doesn't mean they are not listening and visa versa!
