Do you have a pretty view outside your window or one that maked you shudder mylotters? 'Always before I had to look out my bedroom window into another persons bedroom window. not a view to inspire anyone. but now I see a row of tall green graceful Cypress trees swaying gently in the soft breeze. There are climbing vines of some sort with big yellow blooms climbing way up on some of these trees.Such a serene and beautiful sight that I do not mind staring out my bedroom window at all. Beats seeing someone brushing their hair. The sky is a lush blue with big powder puff clouds skimming along on it. I now love to just gaze out there and regain some serenity.

I live on a street and so when I look out of my bedroom window I just see the houses across the road and then the people in the street. I have a big beautiful garden but none of my windows really offer a good view of it which is a shame but it is an old house, a victorian town house and so it is quite a funny shape at the back of the house.

I have always dreamed of living in an old victorian house and think that would be such fun.

Mine fronts a mostly green scene. Its pretty neat come spring and summer time. There is also enough of a view to see the sky as well. Can't clearly see sunrises or sunsets though due to the terrain and foliage.

Sounds really very pretty and green is such a comforting color the color of spring and summer against the blue of the sky

I don't know that it's pretty but out our bedroom window is a nice space of grass and the back of the brick building of the apartment behind us...no kids running around, no dumpster and no traffic...I consider it nice. Out our office window (where we spend most of our time) there is the corner of the brick building of the apartment behind us, a space of grass, a little ditch (which is nice b/c it gets flowers and fills with water when it rains so it looks like a stream) and other backyards where we can watch birds and such. All in all I'd say I like it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I have 2 windows in my bedroom but they are high and I have to go close to them to see out of them. The view from either of them is not too bad. One looks down a busy street and isn't too bad. Sometimes it is fun to watch the traffic as long as I don't mind standing to watch it. At other times it is pretty to see the fog in the streetlights that line the street even though it is a brightly lit street. The other window faces a residential neighborhood that is quite peaceful and the view is quiet and calm. I do have to kneel on my bed to look out this window and I don't do that very often, or sometimes I can stand very close to it to see out it. I actually like the view from both of the windows in my room.

I wish I were as lucky as you were. :P My bedroom is at the back part of this house and here I can only face some walls, and the back parts of my neighbors’ houses, which are not really cool at all. Pretty boring sight here and sometimes when there was no wind, it would be really HOT here. (T_T) Would really love to have a chance to move to a better place, but still can’t afford a new house in good sighting area. (T_T)

The view outside of my bedroom window to the west would be very pretty as it looks out onto my neighbors garden. He has quite a green thumb, but fact is I can not stand him. He is an animal hater, he and his wife have never had children, so they have no tolerance for kids at all. We just steer clear of him and his wife when I am entertaining in the back yard. Now the view from the south window looks out into my back garden, and I can see this is being beautiful someday. We have only lived here 2 years but I have grand plans for that space.

I can see my back yard. Right now the grass is rather brown, the tree is bare, the fence needs repairing and I can also see the neighbor's yard, but they are all fenced in. Plus there is the back lane and the garage. Sometimes there are some birds, and the neighborhood feral cat. It is supposed to be spring, but there is snow still on the ground and none of the flowers are up yet, so it is rather dismal. It will look better when it gets warmer and the grass greens up and the berries start to brighten.

i am very fortunate i have a great view on my window the center of my window is a large oak tree and vast grasses surrounds the oak tree, i could see the dews on the grasses at morning thats why opening my window is one of my first things in the morning, its really relaxing and soothing to the mind, the great view gives me energy to shout "GOOD MORNING WORLD!!"

We have a pretty spectacular view out of our bedroom window. It overlooks a river with tons of marsh as far as the eye can see. Way in the distance you can see a city. We can watch the swans swim and by and people out fishing. It won't be our view for much longer as we are moving to a different town in June. Our new view will be the woods behind our house. Not as spectacular but still it will nice, we are moving to a town with a much better school system than the town that we live in now, and that is definitely worth giving up our water view for.

I love the view from my bedroom window. It faces the Sandia Mountains. Early in the morning I can hear the birds chirping and I look out at these awesome mountains that I want to climb someday. When the clouds roll by it shadows the mountains and looking at something so magnificant teaches me that I'm so small in this big world. It puts things in perspective when I full of myself, which is usually on days that end in "y".

The view from my bedroom window is a very small park, which looks like a desert most of the year, and a road surrounding it. In the winter It looks green and lush and at a winter's night it looks nice and quiet, a good sight before going to sleep.

When I look outside my bedroom window the only one I have, I see chicken pens. Because my brother in law decided to build them on our land right next to my bedroom window we can't even open the window in the summer months when it is scorching hot because the stench of the chickens and the pens,Not what I would call good at all. I hate them there. And wish he would move them to his land but he doesn't want them that close to his home.

Yeah, they are alot of room in his own backyard but he chooses our yard to put the chickens..He doesn't want to smell them that close to his home..But we have to. When my husbands parents passed away ownership of their home passed on to him and a older brother. But the younger brother doesn't care who name is now on the deed, He even moved a 12x60 trailer there and lived there a few years before moving and turning it into something to house his chickens while using our electric and not paying in on it. He used more then us cause he always left everything on and even fans running the summer so the chickens wouldn't have heat stroke. He loves his chickens But after he moved his chickens and got rid of a few he tore it down and left the mess for us to clean and haul away we had to pay people to help clean it up it was a huge mess we had over 15 bags of insulation alone not including other stuff. Well now we cleaned it off and even had a garden there last year well this year we don't even get a cheance to have one because he started building his pens and putting in the chickens. We don't really have any say about it or even asked for our opinions on the matter even if my husbands and an older borther name is on the deed and not his. So unless we want world war three then no we can't..Sad but the truth....

I think I am very lucky as my bedroom window looks out onto my garden. It is always a pleasure to wake up and look out at the birds in the trees and on the feeders, the spring and summer flowers, the fruits and vegetables growing and even when we have snow, the garden becomes a magical white world.

wow!! that view sounded really lovely! i would be happy too if i had a view like that from my bedroom window. although the view from my bedroom window is not that bad. i can see roofs of many houses because my room is on the second floor of our house. and then i can also see a mountain far from here which is called Mt. Makiling, a very famous mountain not only here in our neighborhood but also in our province and other provinces. and then i can also see a lake, which is just near our house. it is the biggest lake here in our country and i can still see some little mountains by the other edge of the lake. its not that a bad view after all.

Outside my bedroom window is a really pretty view. Well...at least half of my view. (LOL) The left portion of the view out my window is the garage roof that is slightly below and beside my bedroom window. Other than that, my window looks out onto the other houses in my neighborhood. It's a nice neighborhood. My window looks out to our front yard, and my bedroom is obviously in the front of the house. We have a few trees out front with a long sidewalk that goes right to the street. There's some really pretty landscaping in front of my house. I'm on the second floor, so it's a little higher up for a better view. To the right, I can see my next-door neighbor's house and more houses down the street and across the street. Our lawn is very big and our house stands on a hill. It's also the biggest house in the neighborhood. It's nice and high up. The view is priceless. I can see over the houses in the neighborhood and beyond since our house is higher and so is the view from my room. It's gorgeous. I guess I never thought of what I could see out my window before! Intriguing discussion. I wish I could've been more descriptive as you were!

Thanks, Hatley. You're very kind. I love the view out my bedroom window, although I don't put up the shades very often. By the time I get home from work, it's dark out already. Of course, now it's getting nicer and staying light outside later in the day. I just don't have enough daylight worth opening the shades to see outside. I have the view memorized, though! It's so pretty that words couldn't even begin to describe it, but at least I gave it a try. (LOL) It's even more beautiful out in the spring and fall. I love thunderstorms also. Sometimes I get to see lightning out my window (even with the shades closed!) Thanks for starting this discussion. I'm not at home right now, so it took some imagination!

i don't really have a great view whenever i look out my windows and things like that becuase honestly there are houses all the way around my house and i don't really like it that well because everytime you look out you always see someone in their yard doing something and not to mention that i don't really love my neighbors because they are always doing something that is very annoying like they have chickens that crow when your trying to sleep... jhl930
