Ever get that Sensation....

... of being watched... followed... observed? when out and about or shopping? I once felt uneasy about a group of a few young adults that seemed to be watching my movements and eyeing me. It was night time and my car was not parked very close to the building, and the door I enter to get into the car was faced away from the building.... I started to walk out towards my car and this group slowly walked in the same direction - which I was the only car parked in that lane. I quickly turned around and headed back to the store - where I found the security guard and promptly asked him to escort me to my car. have you ever asked for an escort for safety?

I had a bad experience once where some guys came up to me and my cuz wanting to take us to the roof of the parking garage to say the least we did not go. No one to escort but I started making a lot of noise and they went away fast as it was downtown and cops are every where.

glad that you did not feel any inhibitions to making a racket - could well have saved your life.

I actually quit buying gas at a convience store that became over run with groups of young people that were questionable. When you would stop at night they would be hanging outside loitering and watch every move you made. It does make you feel uneasy. And I used to work two jobs and got done at one in the morning and we did have escorts to our cars for our saftey!

wonderful that they supplied escorts, that says a lot for the company you worked for.

No I have never had to. I hope you were ok though and I'm glad you thought to go back inside and ask the guard to walk you to your car. You just never know!!!

Hello dear Modestah. I am so sorry for your not feeling safe at that night time. It is always better to come out in the evening together with some other person as a company for safety. You are right to have asked the security guard to escort you to your car so that you won't get hurt by those scary people. Take care and stay safe, dear friend.

Well this may sound stupid but I wear steel toed boots when I go some where, so that way if something does happen it gives me a way to help defend myself better. I also carry a foldable knife in my vehicle, so that if I can at least get to my vehicle then I can have a chance. I am in what considered to be the prime years of life, I am only 20 yrs old. plus I am 6 foot 2 and weigh over 300 pounds(not that I am proud of that part.) But I will make sure I am not going down with out a fight.

Yeah, I got that sensation a few times. Most recently was when I went to an arcade I didn't visit for a long time. I really try to avoid my ex alot so I don;t go into the area anymore. Well that evening we went to that arcade cause it was and still is my favourite one. My boyfriend was right there at my side all the time while I was playing my game but then he deicded he was gonna play a game so I said okay and I went along playing mine. It was okay though cause there were about four other guys challenging me and each other when we get K.O.'ed so I wasn't alone. After a few minutes I felt like I was being watched and looked around during an interval between rounds and saw no one I knew. After I lost that challenge I went by my boyfriend to see what game he was playing and then went back to the game I was playing. When he came by me I told him to just hug me tightly please and he did thinking I was feeling cold. Later that night I told him why I asked him to hug me, it was because I felt safe when he did and I felt whoever was watching me just wasn't anymore. He had told me if I felt that I should have told him right away and we would have just moved out of that area and go somewhere else. It was really weird though cause I never found out who was watching me...

I once did when I used to go to an internet cafe...it really is irritating to know that someone is behind me and might be seeing whatever I am doing. It's not that I am doing illegal or something to that effect but, someone else reading my posts in my blogs, or my transactions in online banking is really irritating, so I called the manager to make the person go somewhere else.

No,. I never had the feeling that I was watched when I went around shopping, cos I usually go out with a bunch of friends. Even if someone was watching me, I would go and see to it that they stopped haunting me and get on with their job. Although I have always attracted some smug and a second looks, thanks to my weird dressing sense. Other than that, I think I have never been into such a situation bourne
