Frightened and perhaps pregnant for the second time in a year, the 16-year-old mother whispered into a borrowed cell phone, defying everything she'd been taught by making contact with the outside world.

Yes, from just what you described, it sounds very cultish. I would be snatching my daughter right out of such a situation with gunfire if needed. No one tells my daughter that it's wrong to call me.

It's definatly a cult, no doubt about it. There are other branches also. Hopefully this will put an end to LDS fundamentalists.
I just can't believe this story. So much unfolds every day.
I think today I heard about 100 of the women went back?

are they sick? its really a crime. they take children and have baby with them! oh my god.
i tghink the girl did the right thing by telling her mother. its nice of her.

I just recently read about that story too. It's so sad that people would push their children into those kind of situations! I can't imagine how awful and traumatizing that would be. I agree, that definitely sounds like a cult. It's so creepy! I'm glad that they were caught.
