Fearful 16-year-old bride made late-night call

Frightened and perhaps pregnant for the second time in a year, the 16-year-old mother whispered into a borrowed cell phone, defying everything she'd been taught by making contact with the outside world. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/04/09/texas.ranch/index.html this really does sound like a cult to me

Yes, from just what you described, it sounds very cultish. I would be snatching my daughter right out of such a situation with gunfire if needed. No one tells my daughter that it's wrong to call me.

It's definatly a cult, no doubt about it. There are other branches also. Hopefully this will put an end to LDS fundamentalists. I just can't believe this story. So much unfolds every day. I think today I heard about 100 of the women went back?

My goodness...arg! This really gets me real mad. I hate these criminals. If I get my hands on these criminals I'd squeeze them like a ripe tomato. Poor thing, but fortunate that she make the contact on phone.

I saw something about this on the news the other day. It is terrible. 555 children were living on that ranch. I am glad she got brave and called. She helped 555 other children.

I just recently read about that story too. It's so sad that people would push their children into those kind of situations! I can't imagine how awful and traumatizing that would be. I agree, that definitely sounds like a cult. It's so creepy! I'm glad that they were caught.
