Has anyone experienced a problem with their network or Internet connection lately? I work in a call center and there are days that a lot of calls coming in, some were transferred by ISP or advised to call their router/adapter manufacturer so just wondering::: who do you call first? Your ISP or router manufacturer? What do they tell you? :)

Hi! Most of Zyxel modem are using DHCP and the IP address of your modem is usually starts with 192.168.2.xxx or 192.168.1.xxx. When connecting your router, it is recommended that you reset the router (since you changed modem or ISP) but it will require you to reconfigure it. Once you reset the router, it will be 192.168.1.1 as well. After that check your internet connection. If it works, check the other computers. If not, you may need to change the IP of your router to 192.168.10.1 then reboot the router and modem. You should get online there. Holler me up if you still need some help, if you need to get the how to instructions. thanks

Well i am from India and we do have this connectivity problem every now and then. I too work in a BPO and twice i did come across this situation and thats irritating. In addition ot this when we call the ISP the kind of answers they give will irritate you more. Truly speaking the guys who attend the call or the customer care executives will no have any good Idea about how exactly the ISP is working. They Just read out the answers from the Manuscript they have.

That is somewhat true but there are really ISP techs who knows what they are doing, I have encountered some since they usually contact us if their customer has a other networking devices from our support. Thanks for the post!!!

I experience problems with my network connection every now and then. I had some problems earlier tonight and then it worked just fine. My internet is starting to run very slow again and it is getting on my nerves. I have work to do and I hate it when it goes slow. I call my internet service provider first.

I see. Yes, really hate it when the connection drop from the provider. It is a good thing to call the ISP first then to check if their connection is stable before calling the router manufacturer to save time.
