It's funny, while I'm cooking or baking I love putting on the Food Network and watching cooking shows. Even though I am preparing something different than what is on the television. Do you enjoy watching cooking shows? Who is your favorite cooking celebrity. Do you ever try to make what they are making? I really enjoy watching Emeril. He's very funny and his dishes always come out looking fabulous. Paula Deen also has wonderful ideas.

I enjoy cooking shows at the Food Network and other local TV shows here in my country. I take notes and try the recipes everytime I'm in the mood to cook. The thing is, they look much much better on TV than when I'm cooking them! lol :D

I seem to have the same problem as you, my dishes never look as good as those on the TV!! But that's OK, it's still fun to try.

I love cooking shows and I watch a ton of them. I also love shows that are about food, but don't really show you how to make them. You know, shows like Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations and Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel. As for celebrity chefs, there are a ton that I like. From Food Network I love Alton Brown, Giada Delaurentis (sorry for the bad spelling), and Paula Deen. Paula is especially fun to watch because you can tell that she really enjoys her food. I also like some chefs and shows that are on public televion. America's Test Kitchen is pretty good, and I love pretty much any show that has Ming Tsai on it.

I am like you. I love all cooking shows. I Like Tony Bourdain better than Andrew Zimmer but I watch both. The new season of No Reservations seems a lot more tame than the previous seasons. On Monday and Tuesday nite, I get to watch hours and hours of them on the Travel Channel. I also watch our local public tv and see some really good shows.

I rarely prepare any of the dishes they feature on Food Network shows but I still enjoy watching. I really like Paula Deen...she's funny and entertaining. I also like to watch Tyler Florence on occasion. I love the cake competition shows and Ace of Cakes because they're so creative and artistic.

Oh, I totally forgot about the cake competition shows. I saw a competition with chocolate as the theme about a month of two ago. It was incredible what these chefs could do and create with just chocolate!

I love watching Emeril, but ther are others like Bobby Flay. He's pretty cool, too. The thing that I love about Emeril is that he's a real entertainer; an old style performer who loves to show off for his audience. Put that guy in front of an audience and he comes alive. I'm so happy that they've made cooking popular again. Used to be that cooking was something reserved for housewives and people who had too much time on their hands. Now, cooking is hip and trendy and something even young people want to do!

Oh, sounds like you were at my house :) I almost never have any thing else on. In fact, my boyfriend bought me an under the counter tv for Christmas and it is always on the food network! Let's see, it is really hard to pick a favorite, but I have been liking the Bobby Flay throw downs, and have been getting into the Iron Chef as well. I like when they do their Next Food Network Star. As for a regular Sandra Lee always has good ideas and great cocktails :), Rachael Ray is good, Paula is a hoot and I have tried many of Giada's recipes! Sorry, can't do it, can't pick one favorite, I like em all :)

Sometimes I watch them because cooking shows from foreign countries are different from our cuisine and it looks awesome and interesting. I turn to Food Network too if I wanted to watch them. And yeah, I like the chocolate thing. I forgot the name of the show but they used to make sweets in that program and they awesome and yummy. I like that show. Also the 30-minute show, it's like something I can do too.

I enjoy the FoodNetwork as well. I'll keep it on all day while I'm doing housework and laundry. I've learned a lot from Emeril, though a lot of elitist chefs criticized him. I think he did a lot to bring cooking back into the home. A lot of his recipes were too fattening for my taste, but he always had good tidbits of information and taught cooking techniques without seeming snooty. He was very entertaining. I like to watch Paula Deen, though my arteries clog as I watch her. She's very entertaining. wonder if she's that way in "real life." I like Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals. I like that she uses a lot of fresh ingredients, as opposed to Sandra Lee's Semi Homemade Cooking which uses a lot of prepackaged and processed food. Sandra Lee does have some great ideas on table scapes and themed meals, though. One of my all-time favorites is Alton Brown. He's kooky and his brilliance keeps my attention.

Ha. Cooking shows are boaring. Who wants to hear about people talking about food all day when all we ever seem to do is eat food. Personally I would just change the channel to something better like mtv because the last thing you want to do is look at food on tv when you eat food all day.

I love cooking shows. They're part of what got me interested in cooking - before I saw the Food Network I never thought of cooking as enjoyable or rewarding, just another chore, but I've gotten into it after seeing some great ideas on TV. My favorites to watch are Paula Deen and Emeril Lagasse. They always seem like they're really having fun with what they do. Giada De Laurentiis is good, too. I don't think I've seen anything on her show that didn't look totally delicious.

I love the Food Network and any cooking shows! The ones I watch and tivo the most, are Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals, Simply Delicioso: Ingrid Hoffmann, Paula's Home Cooking, and Barefoot Contessa. I've seen a lot of replies on here about Paula Deen, she must be a favorite of everyone! I don't watch much of Emeril, but I hear that he's really popular as well, my friends dad watches him every night. I tivo most of the cooking shows and I always write down a recipe while they're making it, but so far I have yet to make any haha.

I am only viewing cooking demo when my sister and daughter watches one. I dont like cooking although I love to eat. I like to see what they are doing but thats what I do, look at it. There are some cooking shows on tv here in our place and I think they are good. My sister and my daughter wanted to eat and cook so sometimes they cook what they saw. If you are really interested on something you are eager to see and view it. Happy cooking.

I love the Food Network channel. If I had a T.V. in my kitchen then I would love to watch it while I am cooking. But other than that I'm always always watching it. My husband thinks I'm crazy. He just doesn't understand the love I have for food. LOL. But then again, I want to learn how to make lots of things on see on there. He tells me that I'm just making myself hungry watching them cook and thats why I'm always hungry for food. I don't mind, I love to eat.

Yeah I watch em. I like Rachael Ray on food network. I am not impressed with her talk show though. Paula Deen's food looks yummy but her recipies seem to be long. I really wanna try her mac n cheese. She adds sour cream to it.
