JanisRemaxRealtor responded to a discussion called How do you make oatmeal without burning it? in cooking.
I used to buy the instant when my boys were young and pop it in the microwave for 90 seconds. However, I now buy the old fashioned oats, they are better, and more whole than the instant or quick cooking. My boyfriend likes his oats more mushy than me, so I put the oats in the water prior to boiling and stir so it does not stick to the bottom. I like my oats more stiff I suppose and I follow the...

JanisRemaxRealtor responded to a discussion called Anyone Have a Good Recipe for Cole Slaw in cooking.
I have only made it once and got the recipe from the foodnetwork.com Sandra Lee had a real good one that included jicama. We really liked it! In fact, it may have been called Jicama Slaw. Anyway, I have not made it since, but it puts a really interesting twist on your typical cole slaw. Anytime I am looking for a recipe, I always hit the foodnetwork website. Have a good day!

JanisRemaxRealtor responded to a discussion called Home Made Baby Food in mother.
I went onto my msn homepage and just typed in baby food recipes and tons of sites came up. I suggest you go on there if you want specific information. What I did when my boys were young (they are now 17 and 20) was to make their food same as mine, minus the spices. Their favorite was vegetable soup. I made it real bland, put in my baby food grinder and packaged in the small tupperware cups with...

JanisRemaxRealtor responded to a discussion called DO you find bald men sexy? in beauty.
It really depends on the man. I have seen some real nice looking bald men. I work with a guy that chooses to shave his head and he looks awful! I used to work with a guy that was bald and wore a "rug", it looked awful, he was not good looking, but surely looked best without that false hair on his head! So, it depends, if a guy is confident in his life I think that would carry over and show thro...

I saw the interview yesterday morning on the Today show and have to say this..........it's a bunch of BS!!!!!!!!!!!! That woman looked a bit large, probably bought a small thong and it broke under the stress of trying to stretch it over her quite sizable rear end! What an embarrasement to our nation these nonsense law suits and shame on that attorney and any attorney that would take on a case ...

JanisRemaxRealtor responded to a discussion called How many dogs can you manage in a household? in dogs.
We have 7 dogs and 3 cats in one household. They all get along fairly well and one cat actually runs with the dogs! It's real cute to watch him. All of our dogs are rescued and have totally different personalities. One from Katrina, 3 from the shelter, 1 from a mean owner that didn't care for her, 1 from my daughter, case my granddaughter has allergies and one from the boxer rescue. Every now a...

You missed my point. Al Gore and others want us all to literally "buy in" to these ideas and they are the people that are cashing in. They are flown around in private jets, driven in stretch limos, live in more than one home around the world. They are leaving more of a carbon footprint than we small folks. Follow the money my friend. Go to any of the save the planet or "green" websites and just...

Global warming? NO. Our planet goes through natural changes every 10,000 years (give or take a million)or so. It is a natural there is nothing we can do about it. Sure, do your best to reduce, reuse and recycle, but the fact of the matter is this, remember reading about the ice ages? Where was Al Gore back then to advise the dinosaurs that they need to reduce their carbon footprints? Please...

How long until Crisco goes bad?

I made a pound cake the other day and did the grease and sugar thing. However, the crisco I had in my pantry was pretty old. How, old you ask? I truly can't remember purchasing it. Anyway, the pound...
