Does anyone still eat grits in the morning with breakfast??? I remember my dad eating it all the time when I was younger. I never cared to much for the plain grits. My kids like the cheesey grits, they like to eat it with their eggs or bisquits. We have grits on occasion.

LOL! My husband is very big into working out, so for breakfast he has his bowl of grits with scrambled egg white mixed in. I dont think he would go work out without having this for breakfast. Mr.Olympia Ronnie Coleman is the one that gave him the idea, on his Olympis videos he always has that for breakfast! I perfer to have my grits with sugar and butter, and i will order it everytime at waffle house! So kudos to you and your family for keeping the grits alive!

Hi. shymurl. I love to eat grits in the mornings too. Especially, when it is during the winter time. This all that we basically ate last year, when my husband had his dental surgery in December. He cooked grits almost every day, and all day too! I love grits especially when it has cheese in it. I love my grits to be thick and not loose at all. My grandma used to cook grits for us, when we was younger too, and my aunt as well. I enjoy eating grits as an adult and so does my entire family too.

I enjoy grits. But, they have to be served with real butter. I also can eat it with sugar and milk.

Grits...YUUUUMMMM! I was raised having grits for breakfast and I still love grits. My husband had never heard of grits until meeting me! I like my grits with a little dab of butter and just a very, very small amount of sugar. Sometimes I don't even add the sugar. My hubby will eat them, but doesn't really care for them as I do. My children love grits too. We primarily fix the bulk grits rather than the little small packages that come in a box and have a variety of flavors. If we do get the little flavored packages my daughter loves the bacon flavored ones. I can't stand the flavored varieties.

I love grits, I can eat with just butter or with butter milk and sugar. Its one of my favorite things to eat. I do like buying regular grits and cooking it rather than quick grits though. I think they taste much better

I had never heard of grits until I moved from Nebraska to South Carolina. It took me a while to get used to them. I have learned to like them occasionally. I do like them with butter and sugar and with cheddar cheese sometimes too.

I like them plain maybe with just a little milk and salt. I like them as breakfast or nighttime snack. :)

I was born and raised in Georgia so i love grits with butter, with cheese, fried grits, or eggs mixed in. Breakfast, lunch, supper or snack. My mom is from Missouri and she likes them with milk and sugar but not one of her 4 children would eat it like that. We also cook a big pot when we have fish fries. I NEVER eat grits in a resturant because they do not salt the water before the grits is cooked and after its cooked it is impossible to get rid of that fresh unsalted taste.
