A poorly baby, positive thoughts, a well baby!!!

The other day, I was upset because a friend of mine told me that her little granddaughter, who is only 12 days old had been rushed into hospital with problems with her liver and blood. Her liver was enlarged and her blood was not clotting and they did not know what was wrong. Among the suspected possibilities was liver failure,or a very serious infection. I posted a discussion about it and asked for people to please send me their positive thoughts for this little baby to get well and a few of you did just that, so thank you!!
Now, I am not a big believer of anything like that, I am very skeptical and very much a pessimist, but I just would have tried anything, so imagine my surprise when my friend phoned me last night and told me that her blood is completely normal, her liver is no longer enlarged and is normal and if she carries on like this she will be home within a couple of days!!!
So is this coincidence do you think, or is there really power in positive thoughts and thinking if enough people get together to do it?
Personally I am not sure, but I am just glad that all is ok, so what do you think? Have you ever had a situation or heard of a situation where postive thoughts or prayers have seemed to help out a situation?

there is alot to be said for the power of positive thinking, and the gathering of collective thoughts holds more power. energy is boundless. there is no barrier of time or distance, and i firmly beleive this energy has the power to heal and protect. its the core basis of Magic. ive experienced it enough in the course of my life to rely and trust in it. very glad this baby is doing well and getting better.

I had seen people ask for positive thinking and prayers on here before, I have never been a positive person and found it hard to believe that this could work, but she is just a tiny baby so surely there was a tiny bit of a chance for it to work. I do not know whether it was coincidence or whether I, with others positive thoughts managed to help, but within a short time of me asking for help that baby seemed to just get better really quickly and should even be back home very soon, thank you for your well wishes.

Wow, that must have been so scary, and I am glad she is okay now! An enlarged liver with clotting problems is serious... but thank goodness its better. I never believed in prayer and to be honest I have wondered if there is a higher power at times because of the horrific things that happen in the world. But this sounds like a miracle, and so glad for whatever reason the baby is okay!

It was scary for them yes, it was very lucky how they were able to sort it out so quickly, when my friend said that she had the enlarged liver and clotting problems I thought she would be ill for quite a while. Apparently they think it is something to do with the baby milk that the baby was on.

I never used to believe in it either believe me Rose but a few times now like with my Friend Lakota and on other Occasions it has always worked so I really still do not know if it is the Power or Coincidence but I believe there is a Power as there would have been to many coincident I am so happy to hear that the Baby is better and doing so well I really am

Yes, I think that there is something in it, considering how poorly she was and how quickly she seemed to recover after I asked for positive thoughts!!!

Well I was in a bad accedent years ago an was told I couldn't walk or have kids an I would stop at a friends house on my way to my doctors appointments every cuple days an he would pray for me well I am walking an could run if I have to an I have 2 daughters so could be the prayer or I just don't like a doctor telling me what to do I am so glad to hear that the baby is doing good

I missed your original discussion.. but I would have sent positive and healing energy and thoughts to that baby. I DO believe in the power of prayer, and positive energy. The results prove that it does work! I am so happy that she is getting better now. I will continue to keep her in my prayers!

Yes!I believe this!When my grandmother was sick,my families told her to take some medicine,but she denied to take even one pill,she said firmly"the medicine will will kill me!I can recovery by myself!".We could do nothing but praying.It was really a miracle that she pull through without any medicine!Afterward,I have talked to her trying to get how she can do this!Finally,she said,in the old days,there was no medicine for the people,even the poor ones,so,when they fell ill,they just use the spirit to cure.I was moved by this,so,I believe that positive thoughts can be helpful!!

Thank you for sharing, that is really cool that she recovered without medicine, she must have been a really positive person. There may be something to being positive after all.

Glad to hear your grand-baby is doign alright!! Over the weekend my 2 year old fell down the steps. I knew it was gonna happen and it did. When I told my mom about it she said to always think positive thoughts like, "She'll make it up the steps". I guess that is true but that doesn't always mean it's gonna happen. In your granddaughters case it is different because it's so serious, it can't hurt her to think positive but it could hurt her to think negative. So maybe it depends on the situation though all and all it can't hurt.

There has been research going on since 1956 about the power of pray and even doctors are now believing it. People do get better even if they do not know that people are praying for them,
positive thoughts never hurt and the only way they can go is up not down.

Prayers always help the situation. I never saw the post for some reason ill probably get the email notification next week for it. God is listening there is proof everywhere. Glad to hear the baby is doing good. Hears to prayers she is healed and healthy for a long long time.

I could go on forever where the power of prayers have touched someone close to me. My 4 year old nephew was dying of cancer and everyone I knew was praying for him. He is cancer free. My nieces baby was taken to the hospital last month because he stopped breathing our family instantly got to everyone we knew and 2 days later the baby was sent home doing just fine. I had a friend that only had a 25% chance to live on a Thursday.. by the next Thursday he was sent home and is still doing great. I could go on forever with these examples but lets just say I believe strongly in the power of prayer!

gemini I am so glad your friend's little granddaughter is somuch better.maybe positive thinking does workI know several times in my life when I had to have biopsies and was frightened oit of myumind and thought ohmyG I could have cancer and myhusband kept saying no no way it well be negative and sure enough I began to think positive too and when the results came back I did no have cancer.what a relief.

Thank you for your well wishes, the mum is only 16 and on her own with baby so it has been hard for her.

Sorry to hear that the girl got illness.But she is also lucky to recover quickly.
I think so that positive attitude is a good thing.It can help to relax our mind and be active.Most illness can come from the mind problem.Keep positive is helpful to relieve.
