First there were dissatisfaction about the infamous gremlins who has caused the decrease of many mylotters star rating, reputation and points. And now here comes another soon to be hot topic, the violation of mylot guidelines - posting copyrighted article! If some start this as a discussion, don't you think it is also violation of mylot guidelines - flaming others. Can we just go on posting in peace rather than creating unnecessary havoc here in mylot? Mind me, but I just couldn't understand why some people just have this unusual dissatisfaction to others? Is this healthy?

i have noticed this. i think there are both types of people here, sopme are happy with cheating and some are happy pointing fingers at the others, its a problem. no one can take anything good of others. i think we should be in peace.

you know, if we all ignored the trouble causers they would leave the site, i just wonder if mylot do ignore them though, i have noticed good people banned because of being reported to mylot, i just wonder what process those doing the reporting go through? do they not have the intellectual accumin to recognse what they are doing is weakening the site and that they would be better served turning theri depleated intellect to constructive

I agree with ESKARENA1. We should ignore these causer. If we get angry, they feel happy and continue on doing what they love best - giving negative ratings.

No, starting that discussion wouldn't be break the TOS unless you mention that person name. Odds are though everyone would know who you are talking about. People get annoyed that others are breaking the rules and not being penalized. That is a problem.

I couldn't agree with you more. It just seems to be one thing after another. The ratings thing has just driven me mad over the past week or so. There must have been hundreds of discussions done about it all. So boring. I've also noticed the copyright issue as well and I suspect you're right - this will be the latest bandwagon that people will jump on. Starting a discussion attacking others IS a violation of myLot guidelines - even if the person is basically right in what they're saying. And why do they need to do it anyway? If you catch someone breaking the rules, then report them to myLot if you have the inclination to do so, but you don't need to also start a discussion about it! Unfortunately some people just like creating drama on here. I don't know why - maybe they don't have enough drama in their real lives.

Unfortunately, reporting seems like not enough for them. They just have to let the public know about it and like you say not enough dram in their real lives. Very sad indeed.

some people do not have the brain to develop topics to write about, they do not have the intellect to respond appropriately, they do not have any literary ability whatsoever. However, what they do have is a huge amount of resentment and jealousy. It is though the intellectual bar is just too high for them, but they can get noticed by flaming, by negatively rating everyone or by complaining about minor irregualarities. It is a symptom of their lack of constructive ability, they are to be pittied rather than condemned blessed be

I pity them too for having lack of constructive ability. They only know how to satisfy their resentment. It is sad.

First of all I'd like to ask a question. Doesn't mylot have a "policy" that they watch for people who repeatedly give someone negative ratings? Then they ban them for it if it continues. Then the whole copyrighted articles thing. People should really know better. Honestly now, why would you want to do that. That is illegal and can get you arrested. Why would someone want to get arrested over a few dollars if that? Is it really worth it? I don't think it is. They're hurting everyone by doing that because mylot then in turn has to pay them unless they can prove they actually did copy and paste it. People just are out to get each other these days. No, it is really not healthy for anyone. It's all out of anger, greed, and hate. None of those things are healthy for anyone involved.

Mylot does has a policy about people who repeatedly give negative ratings to targeted members. And as far as I know, they have implemented their policy by banning those members. But what is the use of banning them when they can reregister as new members?

well, i have noticed that as well... but i prefer to stay away from those people and keep my head low here... i just don't reply to those discussions... i won't bother as i know that they will get deleted eventually by mylot when somebody reported them and my earnings will drop because of that... so why bother to waste my time on those discussions??? my advice to you is just to stay away and try to have fun here while earning money... take care and have a nice day...

What a contraction of a posting about complainers when you are doing the exact same thing complaining about the complainers. Have a great day anyway from Deeeky

I think it is time to completely ignore these idiots. Sooner or later they will get bored and leave us in peace, maybe they might even go bother some other site and leave MyLot completely.

These stars and ratings do nothing but cause problems, I wish they would do away with them all. We don't need or want them. I really wish mylot would take a vote by asking us (the members) if we want to do away with the stars and ratings once and for all. Come on Crash - start a "vote" and get feedback from your members - this is the fair way to go.

You may be right. The star rating has good and bad. The bad thing about star rating is when they dropped unexpectedly. Some have a negative impact on it. The good thing is about star rating is it shows that you know that your contribution here is well accepted and of a quality one.

Hello ellie. Good topic here. I've seen some discussions that are "bashing" some users like the one you've mentioned and I just take a "walk away" approach to it all. I feel sad that there are so many of such negative discussions that put down others and I wouldn't want to be a part of it, really and AT ALL. Sometimes, I accidentally respond to the particular discussions and after submitting and reading the entries again do I realize that the discussion is actually out to "get someone", if you know what I mean. And that really is not good. So, I apologize to all whom have felt that I have contributed in a way to those kinds of discussions. I am trying to be more "aware" now and tend to choose my discussions so that I will not be involved in those kinds of negativity. You are a brave woman to be posting this. God bless..;)
