Does having a SINGLE antivirus is enough? What is your most recommended one for desktop/laptop?

I used to use Norton but had a drastic lifechange and didn't feel I could afford it. My friends all recommended AVG and it's done a wonderful job! And it's free!!
I have AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, ZoneAlarm firewall and the Windows firewall. I haven't had any computer trouble of any kind since I began using all these. You have to be diligent about cleaning the computer with these tools every few days, though. They do no good if you don't use them!

Thanks guys for the comments.
Here are some valuable additions for that:
AVG free edition is good, in terms of speed and resources. see still use your pc while doing a complete scan.
but free edition is not the good in terms of CLEANING malwares. i might recommend to have another point of ADVICE.
Sypbot, spyware blaster are also good plus the zone alarm seem makes your pc secured. just bear in mind that zone alarm and windows firewall don't work at the same time.
Try the ONLINE scanner.

I've always found that AVG works fine. They update regularly and it's got the advantage of being free to download.
