Sometime ago around late November of last year a whole bunch of us banded together as a tribute to one of our friends to show our support for her when she was wrongly suspended/banned from here due to the vicious attacks against her. As a result, many of decided to show our support for her and that we were behind and routing for her by a suggestion I made. That we volunteer to change our avatars for at least a week. What happened was almost hysterical as all of a sudden almost overnight many MyLotters switched their usual avatars to a cute snoozing puppy one that our friend had...We became know as the Puppy Brigade....LOL
Now, currently we have the same situation and two other members here have already changed their avatars to the one that belongs to the friend who has also been wrongly suspended/banned...and now I'm officially announcing here...let the avatar change begin...are you game? And ironically we can still be known as the Puppy Brigade as the person's avatar is also of a cute little doggie...
So folks for at least one week, change your avatar to our friend's one to show you care for her and miss her.

I would love to do that, but where do I find her avatar. I know it was of a yorkshire terrier, but I don't know where to find the exact one.

Had nothing to do with her...she was being viciously attacked just like our snoozing puppy friend was before...so they seem to take the attackers word for it and zap --so hope we can get her back now--and thanks for the change

I did notice that this very sweet little avatar was popping up all over the place!! I am game to do it, I guess it will make a change not to have a wolf grinning at everyone everytime I respond to their discussions!!
So we would be doing it for a week, is that like a week from today? I have copied the picture so I will try and change it in a min when I just finish writing this to you!!

I was wondering about itsreallymefifty. She got banned awhile ago for basically the same thing. I miss her. Her discussions were really interesting and she definitely raised the level of the writing around here.

How cool is this! I'd love to have friends like this- Sticking up for you when wrongfully accused. I don't know where to find the picture-- or how to do it- Plus I'm not even sure who you are referring to- I only answer discussions through my e-mail.

I got the picture off of the person's profile page--I plan to have it for a few more days then change back to my kitty one...I've been using my avatar for nearly four years wherever I am--but it was the principle of the thing I thought

I have been seeing lots of those greeny black avatars for a couple of weeks now...don't know whose it is. I also don't know who originally owned the puppy avatar. I find it very confusing when people keep changing their avatar. I know for sure who belongs to what in a lot of instances but not in ev ery case.

Greeny black avatars?? Gee haven't seen any of those. I know it can be confusing when one changes avatars..as for this...I plan to have it a few more days then change back to my classic kitty one...besides my cat Pyewacket is annoyed that I changed it..LOL

Well I wish you well pye and I think it is great that you are all sticking together with your friend! I have heard about yb but I don't know her personally. I hope that things get sorted out for her soon although I am not going to change my avatar - I have always had the same avatar and plan to always keep it if I can - plus I get confused very easily and if I saw my own posts with a different avatar it would really fry my brain! lol xxx

Hehe..yes it confuses even me to see a different avatar other than my classic kitty one...I've used that avatar wherever I am for about four years straight...but just for a few more days I'll have this one then back to my cat one

I could never see changing avatars in support of members who have been banned. As for myself it always confuses me when my friends do it so I don't want to do the same thing to them. Personally I don't think it helps anyway. I'm sorry your friend was banned but I'm sure she will be back...they all come back eventually.

she's lucky to have some friends that are supporting her. well count me in for the support that your giving to her guys even though i haven't met her but sorry i can't change my avatar since i'm already starting to have some confusions on yorkie's avatar roaming around

I was wondering why I saw so many cute puppy avatars and good on you all for supporting her. I am not on her friends list but just wanted to say I hope it gets her back. I know it did with one of my friends Terryz Good Luck.

I think this is a really awesome thing for you to do as a tribute to a friend. I would join you for a week but I do not know the person. More power to the Puppy Brigade. What a cute little avatar to see popping up all over.

Hi Pyewacket! I'm new here and I have to say that your idea rocks! Several of my friends and I have joined MyLot recently because we were fed up with experiencing the exact same type of problems on another site. Most of us are still in the process of transitioning from the other site. I think I will suggest we do the same thing there to honor our banned friends! I can see you are a really creative and supportive friend to those you care about.

Thank you, Toni_nakama! So far it has been very pleasant! We are using the site more and more. I 'have been sort of phasing out I guess you would call it on the other site. We did use Pyewacket's idea on the other site to protest our friend's being banned. We used socks and they all got banned just for protesting the banning of the others. That tells me that admin is not interested in making any concessions or mediating in the least. Fortunately many good friends are showing up on this site. I quite like it here!
