Texas Ranch...wrong...wrong...wrong

Have you been following the removal of the children from that ranch in Texas? On the news they bring their most normal looking couples to answer questions and whenever they are asked about young girls being forced into marriage they do a dance that would put Bill Clinton to shame! In my eyes it is even worse because they do this stuff in the name of God... I do realize that it will be punished someday but what of the poor innocent girls left in the wake... And all those lost boys...Young men pushed off the compounds because the nasty old men want those little girls and they just don't have enough of them to go around! Why in the world would the mothers go along with this? Any thoughts? From O "A 14-year-old girl is forced to marry her cousin, but escapes. Where is she now? Lisa Ling reports from inside a polygamous sect's compound." http://www2.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/200805/tows_past_20080514.jhtml?promocode=HP51 xoxoxoxoxoxo

The women form that ranch are brainwashed from birth to be subservient and obedient and not to think for themselves. For most of them this is the only life they know so they really believe that, as long as the old pervert is treating their underage daughter nicely, it's okay for him to be "spiritually married" to her. Apparently welfare fraud is okay, too. I had mixed feelings when those children were removed. As a mother my heart broke for them but, as a human being, I'm glad they are away from that place and are safe. I pray that many arrests follow the investigation into this organization.

The mothers go along with this because they are uneducated and brainwashed. They are also intimidated by their husband. Read Carolyn Jessop's book ESCAPE, and it will explain things prety well.

because this is what is normal to them, they are a closed community and all the women have known is this kind of life. They don't know there is a different way of life, and if they do, they are taught that our way of life is evil and there way is godly. It is a form of brainwashing.

Hi raydene! I have not seen the news lately and I am wondering what happened to those children and if the elders were prosecute and charged. I really don't know why those mothers can just let their daughters be forced in marrying those old men and their young sons be pushed off away from them. I hope that these mothers will have some sense of what is right and what is wrong and hoping that just this once, they will be able to do the right thing and say the truth of what is really happening with their children. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

If all allegations can be proven true then they deserved to be punished as such. I am just wondering that these things can still happen in the US. I just hope the government can make the lives of these people see the right perspective in life if they can still adjust to normal lives as some of them were already born in that kind of environment. It is similar to one that kept her daughter in a dungeon for 24 years. But this one is on a large scale operations.

Isn't this story absolutely disgusting and horrible? I've heard that over half of the girls taken from the compound are either pregnant or have had babies and that there also have been boys molested. The others obviously have been brainwashed and I wouldn't be surprised if some of them also went through the same thing as children even though those I saw interviewed denied it and claimed to have been adults when they married. I've been watching Big Love on HBO but I don't think I really thought things like what happen on the compound on that show really happened in real life today but apparently I was wrong and if anything it's worse.
