Mycoplasma disease is scary. AIDS, Lupus, Chronic fatique syndrome, and other diseases have been identified as being related to mycoplasma disease. Mycoplasma disease has been patented and is owned by the government of the USA. The patent was granted in 1993. So, do you think mycoplasma disease was discovered and patented after AIDS came into being? Or was mycoplasma disease invented with the patent to come later after AIDS became widespread? In other words, any chance Reverand Wright is right? Why would the USA patent a disease? Ever hear of the 600 page book, AIDS: The crime beyond belief by Don Scott ? Man made AIDS. Looney conspiracy theory or not? I don't know the answer, but I no longer laugh at those who ask the question. How about you?

All the bacteria and viruses have mutated over the years and become stronger. I don't think it is necessary for super bugs to be manufactured. They will do it themselves as they become resistant to the available antibiotics we have. They could take over the world without man's help. Being patented and owned by the USA can also mean totally quarantined. It doesn't have to mean it has been manufactured by the USA. On the other hand, who really knows what old Uncle Sam does without our knowledge?

One thing I wonder is whether or not a natural phenomona can be patented? If I can't patent one of mother nature's created oak trees, how can I patent a natural occuring virus? Does the existent of the patent indicate the virus had to be someone's invention? That's what I'm wondering.

I think a discovery can be patented, which could possibly include naturally occuring viruses.

When I get more time in a few days, I'll research this more. As is, I don't think I could patent a new bird if I discovered it, why could I patent a virus?

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water... let me ask you a question RYBDog, if the US holds a patent on MYcoplasma then why is it called The GULF WAR Syndrome? Here is one link if you have not read it already. http://www.rense.com/general44/chron.htm I have not laughed over some of these conspiracy theories for quite sometime.
