Do you dream in color?

Or do you even know if you dream in color? Someone asked me this question once and I honestly don't know because I rarely get enough sleep to dream. When I do have a dream I don't remember it for long after waking up and by the time I remember the color question the dream is so vague that I still don't have the answer.

I used to remember ALL my dreams and its details but after my previous relationship, I started forgetting/not remembering them. I also stopped dreaming in colour for a while - I think it's related to the stress of the break-up or something...I don't know. It was hugely different when before I dated my ex. My dreams would occur almost daily and any time of the day. It usually is about normal stuff but sometimes I get really weird ones. And the best part is that ALL my dreams are in colour. Sometimes one colour appears brighter than the rest - I can still remember that for three weeks in a row, all my dreams had slightly pale electric blue. These days, they are just...normal but still in colour. I don't know what the difference means though...to me, it's just how my dreams are.

I must dream in colour, because there's nothing really out of the ordinary about my dreams. I'm sure if I dreamt in black and white, I'd know it, when I woke up. I'd notice tha there was something different, and that difference would tick in my mind.

No, unfortunately most of the time my dreams are colorless. It's not even in black and white, more of blurry gray scale. I don't see faces of the people in my dreams as well. It's as if everything just happens in my mind, so as the dreamer I know what's going on through my head. I know it's really weird. My dreams are also usually dark, like in a night, indoor, or underground setting. This is an interesting discussion spalladino, thanks.

Sometimes I can't see people's faces either. But, what happens more often for me, is that the face I see on the person doesn't match the name I'm calling them in the dream. I don't know why the faces are messed up, but it happens often.

Yes, I do dream in both color and black and white, heheh. :) When I do dream, it's very vivid. It depends on where I sleep though. :) Anyway, the Bible does say that dreams are a way for God to communicate with His people, and I believe that. Yes I do dream in colors. But usually the dreams will be in black and white. Sometimes though they would be in colors. But even in colors, they are not usually richly colored. Just "blotches" of colors here and there. Cheers!

I heard that we dream in black and white, but when we wake up we transfer it into colour, but I am not sure how true that is. I had a dream about the shoes I wanted and they were beige, I am not sure if I know that because I dreamt they were that colour or that I just transferred it to that colour when I woke up.

To be honest, I don't know if my dream is in color or not as I have never noticed this question before. But from today, I will notice it and try to find out if they are in color or not.

Oh yes I dream is vivid color and my dreams sometimes are quite vivid themselves. I remember dome of them and some even carry over from another night. And sometimes when a dream is going badly I can change it, or when it is upsetting me too much I force myself to wake up.

I used to be like you, never getting enough sleep for it to even matter whether I dreamed or not. I was recently put on some medication to help with sleeping when it got to where I was only sleeping about 3 hours every 4 days or so. I just couldn't function. Since the medication I am sleeping alot better and do remember most of my dreams. They are in color, and they are weird..lol.

After waking up from a dream, I usually always forget what it was about and what it looked like. When I do remember I usually don't remember seeing colors at all, I'm pretty sure I don't dream in color, but rather "gray scale."

I never understood why some people say no. Almost every dream i have i can remember the color of what the object was. I do not think I have ever had a dream where color was not present. Heck, even my own mother admits to not dreaming in color. this is a subject i really should research on.
