I wrote recently of having something removed from my face and sent off for biopsy. I was all concerned it would be cancerous and about what it might lead to from there. Turns out it was a wart. A WART!! wtf???? I've never heard of anyone having a wart on their face. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how a frog p1ssed on my face. The doctor would have probably been able to recognize it if I had gone in earlier, but I had gotten too much sun on my face and the surface of the wart dried up and came off. They told me that if it grows back (and yes, it already has grown in just over a week) they will freeze it off for me. That scares me because it seems painful. It is located on the soft tissue under my eye. So now I am worried again. But not as much this time, just scared it might hurt.

A friend of mine had the freezing process done, and apparently it doesn't hurt, so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Glad you went and got it checked though, better to know either way.

You've never heard of a itch with a huge wart on their nose before? Maybe you were kissing the frogs seeking out the handsome prince you've dreamt about? Hee hee hee! The freezing does not hurt at all. Just a tingling feeling. That's what it felt like when I had planters warts frozen pff my feet years ago. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yes, I'm afraid I HAVE heard of the wart faced witch and I believe I am blocking it out. I had one frozen that was under my thumb nail. It was way back when I was in Junior High, but I remember it hurting. Maybe they are using a different chemical these days. I just wish it was near my eye.

I would be scared also. I had a mole removed awhile back that is by my between my left eye and on my nose. It has grown back. I guess I need to let my doctor know. I had it removed for the same reason I was worried about it being cancerous and my mother has had moles removed that were cancerous so it worried me. Although the first t=ime I had it removed it turned out fine no cancer.

Why should you be embarrased you silly sausage? I can understand why you were worried and I would have been too - you don't have medical training to know the difference do you? And much better to be safe than sorry! Freezing doesn't hurt from what I have been told it is more of a tingly sort of feeling. I had a growth above my eye that was cut out and even that wasn't painful - I know you will be fine sweety! xxx

Hi makingpots! That is good news dear friend! There is nothing to be embarrassed with good news like this even if it just turned out to be a wart. It may seem funny but I do am glad to know that it is really nothing. Anyway, how on earth did a frog pissed on your face? haha.. Don't worry, wart removal is not that painful. It will be over in a matter of seconds. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

I didn't know that people could get wart on your face. I would try over the counter method first before the doctor. It might save you money of you could freeze it off yourself. And yes, that sounds scary as I don't know what. Just try other options first before that one really.

I have known a couple of people who have had warts on their face. It isn't unusual and nothing to be embarrassed about. I can't speak to what to expect as far as pain or discomfort when the doctor freezes it off but, I think he will likely numb the area. Don't be embarrassed! It really isn't unusual!

Although I have never had a wart frozen off people who I know tell me it was not at all painful. The freezing process must sort of numb painful nerve endings. lol

Well that would be a relief for you, and I know warts can grow on any part of the body. I am sure they will be careful not to cause you too much pain - they may even give you a small anaesthetic being so close to the eye. Good luck!

so glad it is not cancer. what are you embarrassed about? i had a wart frozen off years and years ago on my thumb and it fell off a few days later. it was too many years ago for me to remember if it hurt or not though. i am thinking since i cannot remember that it probably did not hurt. if it hurt i would most likely have retained the memory. good luck to you.

I think the procedure for you should be ok you'll just feel alot of cold like putting a dry ice on your face or hand. I had to have 9 warts freezed off from my fringers. I felt so insecure about them that I had no choice. I went in and they described what they were going to do and they started. When I felt like they needed to stop for a few seconds they did but continued afterwards. I must say that the little bit of freezing pian was well worth it for the warts were gone and they never returned. It's a well worth procedure you won't regret it. good luck take care

Heh well I did something similar, for years I had a lump on my neck I thought was a mole. I went in thinking it had grown and must be going malignant, the doctor took it off and said 'it's just a skin tag.' It sure looked like a real mole to me, it was brown and everything! The freezing's not supposed to hurt nearly as much as the cutting...
