Yesterday I was tempted to try a different forum to meet new people and I saw a category there about "Writing Articles Online"...I thought hey! I have a great article about tips on writing articles online! And so I posted my link to it to share it with the people there... Well, they called me every nasty name they could think of - spammer being the one that bugged me the most. (I AM NOT a spammer!) Then they deleted my discussion and banned me from the forum. I couldn't believe it. I thought I was providing them something useful and of value and contributing to their discussion of writing articles online. Here is the link I used that caused all of this: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/689125/7_tips_for_writing_great_online_articles.html Anyways, I am never straying from MyLot again...You guys here are so nice and no one ever yells at me for sharing something with you that could be useful! Have you ever used a forum besides mylot? What was your experience? Have you ever been banned from a website because of smething you posted?

OMG... that is so stupid. I don't know the ins and outs but you getting banned just like that? Lol... Stay with myLot, it is better HAHA.

I learned the hard way! It is stupid. I think a lot of them were just a little too high on their horse about the whole thing. I will be loyal to mylot forever from now on. No more other forums for me! (Well, maybe I will use a few others, but they have nice people...not a ton of psycho people over posting a link!)

i never join any other forum except mylot as i already love this site so much... the people here are so friendly and there are so many nice people here as well... the earnings is also quite reasonable even though it is not much... i haven't found any other forum site as good as mylot and i definitely won't be leaving this site... take care and have a nice day...

I am a member of a couple of forums, but they are specialised category forums and not the same type of general discussion that Mylot is. The only one I use much is concerned with Linux, which ca be useful if I wish to find out how to configure certain factors in Linux. I can only assume that the forum you refer to has a strict no link ruling because the link that you posted was not a promotional link.

Not yet! But I am pretty careful what I post and usually do not jump right in. Once someone posted a really nasty discussion that I later heard was supposed to be about me, but the person had her facts wrong. What I was accused of doing was, in fact, a really good thing that took courage for the person who did it to have done. In fact, I had given some thought to maybe doing it myself, but someone else got there first. Since one person got a whole bunch of others stirred up and like angry bees they were going to to strike out at someone, I reasoned, "Oh, what the heck! Let them think I was the one who did it because they are not going to believe anything I say anyway and then at least they won't be going after the nice person who really did do it." So in that way I got to help out after all.

You are right how some people act like a swarm of bees :) I can't imagine anyone ever lashing out about you though! That's kind of funny to me...glad it all worked out in one way or another!

Haven't been banned before. most of forums if you put post don't obey their principle, will not be banned. Did you ask them why banned your account?

wow, thats was very shocking! I don't get it why they banned you! ANyway, I have tried some site but since I don't know a lot about it, I also didn't stay longer and I was not banned too! I just decided to stop and just focus here in Mylot. As much as I want to earn more but, I don't think so I can manage it with my limited time!

It is hard to find time for more than 1 forum! I do like mylot the best, it can be addictive here :) I am so glad to see my discussion still here, even if I did post a link, lol.
