Computer Malfunction

As some of my fellow myLotters already know, I have been sidelined for the several weeks due to the fact that my laptop went out on me. I still need to replace it or have it repaired but I was finally able to get a loan of a tower since I already had all the other parts necessary to get me up and running again. I just want to say that I have missed all of my friends so much and am truly happy to be back among you. My granddaughter has informed me that some of you thought I had simply dropped off the face of the earth -and believe me, it was beginning to feel just that way!

I was worried about you worldwise...I had even privately emailed you and didn't hear from you at that avenue...so I thought OMG, what the heck happened?? I really get worried when I don't see any of my friends here. Glad to hear it wasn't anything god-awful serious...another mylotter and I really are concerned about one mutual friend of ours here...she hasn't logged in about three months...and we both knew she had cancer...we evenly privately emailed her and nothing...so we both fear the worse may have happened with her

It would take an Act of Congress to keep me away from all of my friends here on myLot, pyewacket! My problem happened so suddenly that I had virtually no warning. Had I been thinking clearly I would have asked my granddaughter to get a message through sooner. I can't tell you how happy I am to be back!

It is a major loss when your computer is out of action, and I would be at a loss what to do if I was without one for several weeks as you were.
Fortunately I have a desktop computer and a laptop, so if a problem developed with either of them I could use the other while I sorted out the problem.
Glad to see that you are back in circulation.

Thank you, carolbee, but I have had to postpone starting my classes since my laptop went out one me. As things stand now I should be starting in July.

Thanks, kykidd, and I do have a back-up plan just in case it is too expensive to repair the old one.

But i keep track of some of the discussions, that you have started, as it interest me a lot.
And another reason for reading your topics is that, You very frequently hit the today's top discussions. WANT PROOF, YOUR RETURN TO MYLOT COMES WITH A TOP DISCUSSION.

Welcome back! Computer problems can sure drive you crazy and if you're like me being without one is like being without running water! I'm sure glad to see you haven't dropped off the face of the earth because I've missed you. I guess you haven't missed a whole lot here, just a few cyber-brawls...lol...just kidding, well kind of. Good luck with getting your laptop fixed or replaced.

It is such a shame that your laptop broke and I hope that you can get it fixed as soon as possible. I had the shift key fall off my laptop and so I posted a discussion about this on My Lot. It helped me call up the gaurantee and Dell Computers sent me a new keyboard to fix my laptop. They also sold me a new memory card so I have upgraded my laptop as the same time as fixing it.

It is nice to see you back. I was wondering what had happened. Now I know why. I am glad you were able to get a tower or loan one to be able to get back on here in mylot. I am also glad that you are alright.

Hello dear friend...you've been missed by this Aussie. I'm so sorry this is happening to you as I am having problems myself. At least I'm on for now. I'd be so distressed if I had to be without my computer for any length of time. It really is good to see you here with us again. Hugs.

i am wondering why a couple of days didn't receive email notification from your post. i know being inactive is not easy specially if you really love this site. if i am in a vacation for a couple of days i missed mylot, it's because this site is already a part of my daily activities. hoping that still you will post and be here sometimes.
