How do you spend your Memorial Day and/or Weekend?

This weekend I have to work, but I have Monday off. I will be going to the gravesites of my parents and my Grandparents tomorrow morning. My husband is going to different Veterans Events. When all of them are done, he wants to go to a movie with me. My brother may want to go visit relatives. Not sure which I will do. Would like to do both, but not enough time and money (esp. gas $). So what did and/or will you do?

I just stayed home on Sat. I did spend some time here, and playing games. Today I went out with a friend to eat, then just about 9 we ran over to Dairy Queen for blizzards. Its now 11, and I need to go to bed so I can go shoot a friend's diabetic cat and then go to work.

I'm sorry about the diabetic cat, but the rest of it sounds good.

So if she's fine, why are you shooting her?

The guys played golf all weekend and my husband worked inbetween the golfing. I rented a few movies and watched them. I couldn'd find much to rent that appealed to me and I got "27 Dresses" - typical chick flick and not s good as I hoped. I drove my son around the golf course yesterday in the golf cart and that was really fun for a change. The weather was beautiful. We used to go to more get togethers and picnics when we lived back east on the holdiays because we had more family around. I kind of missed that.

We visited one of my aunts. Was too rainy and windy for my husband to go golfing. He was going to grill some food, but the bricks in the grill were wet. Oh well, at least in held off during the parade when he road on the Veterans' float. Thanks and take care.

We are going to a friend's house today for a bar-b-que. One of our daughter's and her husband will also be there to enjoy the meal. I am sad, however, because the hostess of today's bar-b-que will probably not be with us next year. She's in stage 4 of renal cancer and it's been just so sad. I do like to spend as much time as I can with her since she's such a dear friend. Don't know what we are doing tomorrow. We are both off work and don't have any plans since one of our daughter's is working and the other will be on the highway on her way home from spending the holiday out of town. Our youngest daughter lives out of state so we won't be able to spend time with her or her family, our 2 grandkids. We may go to one of the casinos tomorrow just to have something to do. Have a great day tomorrow, carolbee

Well I started mine offby going to the amusement park/water park with my family yesterday, we have a season pass there. We had a very good time. Today I will go to church. And tomorrow we will have a cook-out and that is about it for me.

Sounds like something to do each day. Season passes are nice. I'd like one to a beach someday. The amusementpark/water park sounds likeyou had fun. I think many people will be doing the church and cook out. My husband says he will cook outdoors tomorrow, not sure when he'll have time for that. Thanks, have a wonderful weekend and take care.

Yes the water park/amusement park is great, the beach would be even better, but none close to where I live. Thanks for best response.
