Are You Driving Less Because of the High Gas Prices?

I'm not driving less. Everythings pretty close by where I live. I did notice on the news the traffic is less on the road. Oil prices are going down now due in part to people not driving as much so there should be some relief at the pump.

No. In China, I think the present oil price is still cheap. $0.8/L But for this price, I must hand in the tax of around $430 each year. So if I drive less, this is not cost-efficient. What is oil price in USA?

The last time I saw it was over 3.50 a gallon. Its probably worse in the other states such as California where prices are higher to begin with.

I'm not driving less because I don't drive. My assistants, however, are. My one assistant had to stop working for me because it costs more than she would make in an hour to drive from her house to my house. She only worked seven hours a week, anyway, and that's only $70. So she'd be making $60 a week plus driving an hour. Can anyone say, "Not worth it"? My other assistant says that she's only going to drive between my house, her house, and her boyfriend's house, which is about a 5 mile radius. I guess the gas prices really are affecting people. I hope that more people start using mass transit like I do, and maybe this will have a positive effect on the environment.

I still go to the same places, but I try to save on gas by going slower. I read somewhere that as long I keep my speed below 60 kph (I think), then the amount of gas I use up will be less than if I speed up. I hope the gas prices in my area will go down as well. I have heard news that it will continue to go up but I'm praying that it doesn't.

I am definately consolidating my trips. So if I have to go to one area, I make sure anything related to that area in incorporated into that trip. I even work from home more often now. But in my job that is easy.

I hope you are right. I didn't fill up my car all weekend, which has been running on empty, just because of the increase in prices. It happens every holiday weekend though, so it isn't like I am surprised. Just didn't think about it in advance.
