Some good "better sleeping" tips

Getting a long sleep has been a struggle for me for as long as I can remember! Short of taking sleeping tablets, I've tried just about everything you can think of to change things too. It has now got to the point where I function perfectly fine on around 5 hours sleep a night on average. Once in a while I do end up getting 8 or 9 hours and the strange thing about it is that I feel like crap when this happens! I'm just so used to the shorter sleeping times now I guess. I'll check the link you provided and see if there's anything new on there that I haven't tried yet!
