Do certain movies look better in theaters than on TV?

I think there are movies that deserve to be seen on the theater while some won't change much if you watch them on tv. For example, I think it would be worthy to go and see "indiana jones" due to the special effects while a movie such as a drama is more or less the same either way. What do you think about it?

I agree some movies are better on the big screen, even though it is sometimes to expensive to go see them in theaters,I agree the new Indiana Jones movie would look good on the big screen, cause of all the pulse pounding action, and the amazing special effects that you see in all of the Indiana Jones movies.

I know its always good to find the one film that will blow you away in theaters,me,my fiance, and my friend went and saw Indiana Jones in theaters last night,it had some awesome special effects, and it totally rocked ,and it was well worth the money it cost to get to see it in theaters, and if I dont see any other movies in theaters this year,I can atleast say I saw one as good as Indiana Jones 4.

Yes indeed, in fact I dont go to the movies more than a couple times a year, that's why i like choosing a film that will really look and sound extraordinary on the big screen.

Most definitely. You can't beat some of those special effects on the big screen. it really adds to the experience I think. I have seen all the 'Indiana Jones' movies and am looking forward to seeing the latest one.

Actually, i just watched Beowulf on DVD. I was thinking the whole time I wish i had seen it in the theatre. There were so many special effects and great action scenes, it just would have really been excellent to see it on the big screen.

Last time i went to the movies we saw Beowulf trailer, and yes, that's a movie to be seen on the big screen! I'm not talking about a film being good or bad, but that some deserve going to the theater.

Actually this is one of the debates between me and my sister. She likes to watch movies on the big screen as much as possible. It could be the ambiance of the movie theater itself. But as for me, I prefer to watch movies at home. I like it on TV but I prefer it on my PC. I'm pretty it's because I really want to watch movies on my own. Well, not that I don't like being with friends/family at the movies but, I just prefer to be on my own in a small cramped up space.

I'm not a fan of watching it on the PC, I have a 29" in my bedroom so I can be more comfortable.
