As I've gotten older it seems like things have gotten less funny and more typical and thats why I don't laugh as much. I'm not complaining I'm just saying thats the way it is. Its like the edge of humor is reaching its peak more and more for me. I probably just need to go in a diffrent directions to spark my intrest.

Well its our choice more than anything really.....But I think all the responsibilities makes us forget how little thing can cheer us up and make us laugh.......If you want to laugh try to be a kid(its the best way I know) when you are with one and you will see how quickly he/she teaches you how to laugh.....

Thats a really good way to smile and laugh. My sister is going to be having a baby. I would like to have that type of relationship with it.

probably not as much. It seems like the people I used to laugh with, like my sister dont laugh as much either. I do laugh when I hear something funny though. I have a pretty good sense of humor about most things.

It seems like people use to be more care free and laugh more. I miss that.

When I was a youngster, I took everything seriously and never even smiled. In my working years, I learned to lighten up, although I was considered a perfectionist, so didn't allow myself to have fun. Since retiring, I try to find humor in everything - myself, tv shows, books, jokes, perils of old age. In order to keep from crying, I retell my mishaps with humor, making people laugh. In your situation, you might need anti-depressants,and find an organization that offers entertaining / interesting topics, but stay away from negative boring people.

Laughing is infectious and it's true enough although I don't laugh as much as I used to before but if I'm in the company of cheerful, happy and optimistic people, I can't help it and laugh along. It shouldn't be a any reason to laugh but just do and it will make everybody happier, worthwhile and a good deed. Young children are the best laughters and tickles me very single time.
