You are on the phone. In the middle of a conversation, and beep..battery goes dead. Cordless phones are terrific. But they do have their drawbacks. I usually put my phone on the charger before I go to bed. Giving it a full night to charge. Sometimes I do forget. But I do seem to have problems with my phone no matter what I do. It's a UNIDEN. Anyone else experience this?

I have a cordless phone also but I harly ever use it. I leave it on the base to charge which is not good for them either. It wears your battery out. You are supposed to charge it and then take it off of the base. I had to replace the battery pack in mine not too long ago.

I can't remember the last time I had that problem. I have to ask a personal question now, how much time do you spend on your phone every day? Standby and talk time are things to consider when buying a phone. I must admit, sometimes we go 3-4 days without putting our phones on the chargers.

How long have you had it. It may not be the phone, but the battery. Sometimes when you leave the phone on the charger for too long, over a period of time it burns the battery out, so it will not hold a charge. You can go to somewhere like Circuit City and pick up a cordless phone battery for little of nothing. That may solve your problem.

I have to say this is probably one of those things that irritates me about my cordless phone. When it drops because it runs out of juice, the base has to be unplugged. It doesn't seem to know to hangup if it can't find the receiver anymore.

Gosh, is it ever frustrating. It seems to be happening more as of late. Probably needs a new battery. I have a phone that plugs in and when my phone charge is gone, I usually call back on the corded phone. Sort of is telling about how much and how long we can get to yakking it up on the phone.
