Let it loose in the garden. I'm sure the local bird population will enjoy lining their nests with it. We cut down a rotten tree last year, and discovered that some huge ants had dragged dog hair right up inside the centre. It was quite surreal!

I'm sure the dog will be only too pleased to shed you a new load!

When I read the title of your post it "quacked" me up! Still unsure of what it actually meant until I read the whole thing. Oh my, that is why I hate keeping dogs and cats in the house because of their fur. I can't stand furs hanging on my trousers or coats especially when they are dark-colored. Also I'm allergic to them. Anyway, your post reminds me to do the vaccuming this weekend.

LOL Jemima..well our little dog is really ol but he is still going strong here..but his coat being white ,,well say no more, everyday the evidence is there laying on the floor, and its just so frustrating!!He cant help it one little bit,and luckilly my carpet is one that disguises the hair very well...but as you say your clothes an everyone elses get covered in hair!!!but im still trying to think of a use for it!!..but saying that he is such a greatlittle dog that I wouldnt like to think of life without him!

I'm sure your dog gives you so much joy. I want so much to cuddle them if only I'm not allergic to their fur and that's another thing that keeps me from adopting a pet.

LMFAO I keep saying I'm going to knit everyone sweaters for the winter with all the dog hair I've been sucking up and brushing off them...Rayray has been shedding for at LEAST a month now..Reggie just started to shed his winter coat so there is TONS...I'm actually going to give them both a good brushing again today..

For me, it is enough cat hair to build another cat. I love them, but do they need to shed so much. I have never heard of a use for the hair. Perhaps you could knit a sweater out of it.

I wish their was a use for dog hair because i have plenty of it myself. My dog seems to have turned into a year round shedder, he never used to shed at all when he was younger. I find i am always picking hairs off him or the floor. or my clothes...

You sound like me. I have two cats and one of them has long hair. He did't have long hair as a kitten. I never wanted a long haired pet for the reason of the fur all over. I know what you mean, I always say I have enough fur from the vacuum to make another cat or two. Stuffing for pillows as accent pieces came to mind. I also thought of putting the cat fur around the outside of the house to warn mice that there is a cat inside so they don't try to move in for the winter.

LOL The idea of putting the cat hair around the house to warn the mice off is a novel idea!!...but i know that cat hairs can be just as bad...the girl a couple of doors away was telling me that her little cat had laid on the top of her bed and left a great pile of grey hair, and she was saying that she gets frustrated with it too!
