I just found out that I have the same real name with one of my friend here in myLot. Okay, not exactly the same, but if people call our name, we had the same sound pronunciation . But I do have a friend in junior high school who had the exact same name as me. That’s not too special cause my name is a common name. But we also had the same surname. That’s real weird. So when the teacher called us even with our complete name, we usually wait for the teacher to pointed us first before we answer his question. Did you have a friend who had the same name as yours?

None so far. But I think it would be impossible because my name is unique, it is a combination to the month I was born and the name of my great grand mother.

And if you say it really fast or with some accent it sounds like Adore Me... assuming it is Adoremay

Adoremay, surely is unique name. Why, oh why my parents gave me such a common name? Kidding. I do like my name. At least one of the most top actor in the world also had the same name as mine.

Yes I had seen your real name posted somewhere, i think it may have minnie's discussion on what everyone name is. I just didn't tell hellcowboy as it kind of slipped my mind as I got more engrossed in mylot. As for myself, I have known a friend that was going to be given my name and mine hers. I know that may sound confusing so let me clarify. My middle name was going to be Nicole, but instead I was named differently. Her first name was going to be Amber, but she is called Nicole. So basically Adrian Nicole was going to be my name, and her name was going to be Amber ....

Sorry, I knew it was confusing. Probably should have clarified even better. I had a friend named Nicole. My middle name was going to be Nicole. My Name is Amber, this same friend was going to be given the first name of Amber. I hope that clarifies it just a little!

This was kind of confusing. So both of you given your name to each other? But both of you had different first name, right?

It's so weird but no I haven't had a friend with the same name and my name is Malisa (most spell it Melissa) or Missy for short. It's a very common name but I guess that's how it just turned out.

I have friend with the name Melissa but not Malisa. So I do think Malisa is not a common name. Though maybe the sound was the same with Melissa. For me I prefer to have uncommon name.

Talking about name, 'dian' (mine) is really in the market when i was born. In my class college, there is 3 'dian'. Not including at the other class. LOL So all of my friends add something behind our names. 'dian sing cilik' for me (sing cilik= the small one ) lol 'dian duwur' for the (duwur= the tall one) and heheh the last one is 'dian kentir' LOL . she got the name because she isdo crazy things. Ok! im gonna tell you what crazy thing she did. One day we have one class same with her. When we waiting for the lecture to come to class out side, we saw 'dian kentir' been running from the parking area, without ignoring us, she enter the class next to our real classroom. That was the class for the civil technical!! I was surprised, no we are outside surprised and said "whats shes doing there?" She stop in the middle of the classroom full of boys, and said "Lho!?!"(*wtf!? )she pointing her finger to the lecture and said "Lho!?!" again. Me and other outside goes down to floor watching her!! get out of that classroom. I remember i was banging the floor seing her inocent face. And other day she been chassing a different lecture for an asistency! What a girl!

That was the problem when we got same name and friends willadd something in our name to called us apart. But I never had two friends with the same name as mine. I got a friend called Dian in senior high school and my sister best friends also called Dian. What a popular name. The college story was hilarious .

Yes, actually I do. I met her when I was fifteen, and actually she is the person who referred me to mylot. I like my name a lot better since she has it too. : ) She's a great person, and if I can be just as great as she is, than I'd be happy! -Amber

Hi ambiepam, Your story was very sweet. I was always a sucker for a long forever lasting friendship like yours and your friend. Cause usually when you read a friendship like this in books or movies you were always skeptical and said that tjis kind of friendship never existed in this world. And you proved me wrong. Not to mention both of you share the same name.

She is the only friend I've ever had that we could be completely truthful to each other, and our friendship wouldn't suffer. I'm very blessed.

Yes i had friends with the same name as mine. That was during my high school days. But we shared different surnames . That is why there was not much trouble. But then in college i had a friend with a name similar to mine, including the surname. So the teachers used to add a suffix 'a' or 'b' after our names respectively...funny isn't it.

Everybody likes to be unique even when it comes to their names. Personally I find unease in finding the person of my name. But if that person have the same surname then what more worst it can be. IN my school I had a friend who's name was same as mine. He was a bit older than so we used call by name adding the suffix junior/senior.

That was funny. Adding the junior and senior suffix, I mean. Maybe when I had children, I will find them the most unique or maybe strange name so they will not had the same name as their friends ever.

I don't have a friend who has the same with me. But now I have a student who has the same name as me in which I feel a little angry whenever she becomes playful insid ethe classroom and I have to call her name. But its okay. It's just sometimes I feel like I am scolding myself. But she is a kid. Take care =)

Ohh, that will feel weird when you scold her. Can you just called her surname? But that also will sound weird when you only called one student a surname and others their first name.
