Those sound absolutely delicious!!! I should probably see of my husband will try making those for me, at some point. I bet they'll be delicious, if I can get him to make them.

I cook my long grain rice in the microwave. I also cook my rice, broc. and cheese in the microwave. If in a hurry i cook instant mashpotato's in there. I have a book somewhere with recipes I think I need to drag it out especially if it's gunna be this hot all year round would keep the house clean.

You will need a microwave dish that locks down or used for steaming. Then all you do is pour 2 cups of water and 1 cup of rice. (not instant rice) then set and cook for 20 minutes. Sometimes when i do this i toss broc. and cheese at the same time and cook it all together. yum

Hello vanities, Glad to hear that you managed to do something else with your microwave instead of the normal heating purpose *smiles* Is the dish for your birthday dinner? Whatever it is, I understand how it feels whenever we manage to do something for the very first time. I hope next time you will get to practice more with your baking ...

hello vanities, that sure sound like a yummy one, i love to cook as well and i love to try all kinds of stuff. we dont have a microwave right now coz we just move in an apartment and the space they have for the microwave is small and the one we want to buy is very big for that so we will just wait till we have our own place - not harming us in anyway so it is ok. i think i have heard martha stewart says the same thing about microwave and she even mention it on one of her book so im sure you will end up having some more tasty meal with your thing. do you like to do stuff on your own or you like to have a recipe with you or you like to mix a recipe with your own touch? cooking is always fun and im happy to know you love 'em too. takecare

I am glad that your coated chicken drumsticks turned out well in the microwave. I have never tried to cook any type of meat in the microwave. I normally only sure mine to reheat foods and to steam vegetables in microwavable steam bags.
