I just responsed to a discussion which said that he want his friends give him the best mark. I also give it to the one I think it's really the best one not just because of it was responed by my friends though some time I will think more about to give it to them.

Best response award is a cool way to show someone that you appreciate his effort in writing a response. I think that everyone should use this option.

Hi I will usually give the best mark to the response I think is the best, irrespective of who made it.

Hi lishiwei, I usually mark best response out of all the responses I received and I will not look whether it is from my friend or not. Good Luck.

i agree with you. for me, like many, i give it to the one who deserves best in my opinion. if their posts help me out or is really constructive, or i can identify with it, then they're more probable to get the best mark from me. we shouldn't just give it because the other is our friend. it's useless if we do that as the one who gave a better answer will be less motivated if they see or know about it. and most probably, they wouldn't bother to answer to our discussions if they find out that we're just giving the best marks to our friends.

you should really do as I do, forget who did which and mark' the one that seems the very best in your eyes. if its a friend'fine, if not fine also. you were honest and did not let friendship or not enter into your decisions in any way.

I have never really thought of using a best response, but I am going to go back to all the discussions I started and start replying with best response, I will give it to the one I feel is the best response.

Yes, I like to give the best response to anyone I felt earned it with well thought out comments, replies, suggestions, or opinions. Someone who has cared enough to put more than one or two words or lines and also actually seems interested and even passionate about the discussion I started and adds quality of their own.

I give it to the one who gives best response to my discussion. Whoever can help me with a problem/issue and whos exactly what I'm talking about. And sometimes its very hard to decide because you all are very helpful.

I will see the quality of the matter rather than the quantity and also the quality of the writing and the right idea about the topic. Best response is not meant for the single or double liners but for the persons enclosing all the relevant information and the idea about the discussion. So what i think is that if some body is having the real quality in him /her to explain and write is the real deserving person to have at least my best response.

I usually wait until the discussion has had no activity for a few days so I know everyone had a chance to respond. Then I go through and re-read the responses and choose a best response. I do not take into consideration who is a friend and who is not. Sometimes it's hard to choose a best response so I look at who gave the best input or made me look at things differently or maybe someone who raised a great point. I will not give a best response simply based on who is my friend and who is not. For all I know the person I give best response to may become my friend down the road. If we gave it to just our friends it would become a popularity contest and the only people who would respond would be our friends. And which friend would you give you to if only your friends were responding? I think that would ruin the idea behind the site.
