Calling All Police?

United States

Okay I found this a bit funny. Yesterday at my sons baseball game that they did win. My hubby saw a bunch of teenageres writing bad things on the playground well my hubby is a guy who hates this stuff so whats he do call the cops. The funny thing is within minutes there were three cops surrounding the place. And I mean it they were surrounding the place so these kids couldnt run. I think its great they want to get these kids but wow must have been a slow day for the cops lol. Now whats great is cant you just picture all the parents faces as most were watching the game and let the other siblings go to the park alone they panicked moms and dads didnt know what to do. So anyone have some funny stories to share today? It doesnt have to be about cops I just want a good laugh?

Wow that sucks. Here you call the police and they come pretty fast. I guess I live in a good city cause I have heard other cities around us dont get such a fast response. I even had a cop wake me at 3 am cause my car door was open and he thought someone may have broke in (my son left it open). I was shocked to find out that they drive by all night long looking for trouble. So I feel very safe.

I have to agree there minnie! Our police are really good - they just wouldn't get there so quickly for petty vandalism anything major and they would be there in no time! xxx

Well Minnie I am not a fan of graffiti and I think that the Police's reaction is a good one. Today's graffiti is tomorrow's car theft and mugging and next week's drive by shooting. A little dramatic perhaps but it is time that people started to respect each other more. Get them whilst they are young, maybe they'll think twice next time. However, to lighten the discussion a little. A few years ago I was a keyholder for a friends house. The Police called me to say that the burglar alarm had gone off and could I go round. So off I went. The house is a large 15th century manor house and when I arrived I could see a police car and that the front door was open. My friends had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog, who knew me well. I walked into the hallway and was immediately spotted by the dog who ran at me. Leaping into the air he hit me straight in the groin and held onto me by his teeth. So there I was with 25 pounds of canine hanging from my groin. The Police officer had followed the dog into the hallway and was now slowly sliding down the wall in a fit of hysterical laughter, tears streaming down his face. I too had tears Minnie, but they weren't ones of laughter!!

It's good they responded real quick. At least they proved the movies wrong this time by coming to the scene right on time. Usually as movies portray they come after the criminals have left. Oh well, I would panic too if I see cops surrounding the area and my kid is out there.

I love to see fifteen or twenty police officers at the scene of a two car accident where the vehicles are already off of the road! We got bumped by a dump truck, once, and ten cars decided to come join the party for the simple report. All of them came and interviewed us and the other driver. It was like the hot light was off at the KrispyKreme or something!

Isnt it funny. I know they send a call and many will report so we can get the fastest but youd think they would leave when they realized it was taken care of.

Maybe the kids got enough of a scare thrown into them that they might not want to do anything like that again. Bet the parents were scared spitless!

I can not think of a funny story, but it is good that your husband put a stop to what those vandals were doing. I hate that kind of thing also. People work hard to keep their property nice and then teenage jerks come long and ruin it. I do not think that the cops were board, they are just getting fed up with this type of thing.

When my daughter was about sixteen and just got her license she was using my car. I told her that if she ever got busted for anything or drank and drove my car that was the last time she would find herself using it. So one night she goes out with her friends...in my car. She comes home about 10:30 bawling her eyes out. All her friends wanted to go to a party and she didn't want to lose the privelege of driving my car so she came home quite frustrated. Well I told her to get back in her car...because some of her friends where she was working would be getting off work.....to meet them out at work and see if they wanted to go get something to eat.....and so she did and was home by midnight. Well about 12:30 the phone rings and one of her friends' mom was on the phone...saying...let's go get our girls....I said not mine...she is here in bed. The lady argued with me not believing as all the kids at the party got busted. I had a good laugh about that! And my daughter didn't ever drink and drive in my car! She was too scared to. I also told my kids....if everyone in school knows about the party and are going to be there....guess who else probably knows....yup! The cops!

I would have paniked too if my hubby wasnt over there. So I was able to laugh at all the faces. My hubby wouldnt have called if he realized they were gonna send so many. I mean they acted like they were gonna catch some killers or something by surrounding the place.
