Personalized Plates

I've had personalized license plates for years. It all started when my plates came due in January. January in the midwest can be awful weatherwise. I had to venture out to get the car inspected and then to the license bureau to buy stickers for my plates. Waiting in long lines at the license bureau was not my idea of fun. Personalized plates were always due during the summer months. This was my idea of an easy way out so I could get the car inspected in June or first of July and be done with it for another year or two. Do you have personalized plates?

I only had a personalized plate for 5yrs. then when my car got repoed, I just put them up thinking I would just transfer them to the next car I get. Well, it never happened being I didn't get another car till 3 yrs. later. Now I can't afford personalized plates.

I have not had a personalized plate before but have always wanted to know does it cost more to get that done to your plate or is the price still the same. Reason for asking is I see more regular plates and few personalized ones. That's all; just wanted to know.

It does cost more to have personalized plates. Some people don't want the plates but not always because of the cost. I am the only one in our family who has fun with it. Thanks for responding.

I don't have any personalized plates, though I have thought about getting them before. I did have specialized whale tail plates on a car before, but that's about it! Maybe one day I'll get personalized plates, but for now I'm happy enough with the regular plates that I have.

Years ago we didn't have the keychain alarms as we do now so we can find our cars in a crowded lot so personalized plates helped. Thanks for responding.

No, we don't have personalized license plates and never have. Not that I never thought about it, just never did get them. As for getting the new sticker each year, we can just go to the grocery store and get them at the office which sure is nice not having to go to the court house and waiting in the long lines.

I have to get a state inspection and emissions test and both take time. Then have to go wait at the license bureau unless I get it done early and mail everything in. I like this option. Thanks for responding.

It's probably best I don't mention mine but the plates are funny. Some people drive by and smile and I've also had some give me the "thumbs up." Thanks for responding.

Yes I do have personalised number plates. I think I complained to my parnter for about a month before he said I could have them. Yeah tell me about waiting in long lines I hate it with a passion. Thankgod for the internet, I ordered my plates over the internet.

My husband has a personalized plate with the name of a publishing company that he wants to tart up. I've always thought that personalized plates are pretty cool.

It started out as a convenience and has grown on me. It's worth the extra money. Thanks for responding.

I've had the same personalized plates for well over 15 years. My old plates were See-Bee. It's my initials. So one day I am driving to work and some guy followed me all the way to work, pulled into the parking lot, parked behind me and called me to his car. I felt safe because people were all around and asked me if I was in the Navy and was I a sea bee. Shortly there after I had the plates changed to what they are now and now it's a funny name. Thanks for responding.
