The first thing that comes to mind is being carried on my dad's shoulders. It was fun. Do you have a favorite memory?

My Dad has been gone 20 years now and believe it or not him carrying me on his shoulders when I was young is also the memory that I think about the most. It was fun since he was over 6 feet tall!

I lost my dad in 1979.But at least we have a fond memory. Unfortunately there are people who's father's is alive and they don't have a fond memory of their father.

Did your dad die? I am sorry. For me I can't remember the last father's day where I spent with my dad.But I feel he is watching and does help me from time to time.So if this your first Father's day without the physical presence of your dad, just remember he is still there in spirit.

I remember the night, close to my birthday, when my dad gave me the moon. I was maybe five or six years old. We were on a long trip. The other kids were sleeping and I was bored. So he gave me that big full moon.

I used to pretend to be asleep in the car when I was little so my dad would carry me inside and tuck me in. I was very lucky to have a dad that made everyday so special. But my favorite memory of him is when we were driving to a casino for my birthday. After my mother passed away I always spent my birthday with him and he always wanted to go to a casino...well we were driving along and we always sang together. He would sing the melody and I would do rocky mountain harmony with him..so we're driving down the highway singing along and just kept driving and didn't notice that we had missed our exit...we laughed for days about that as we had missed it by about 50 miles!

I have many memories of my beloved father. My most favorite memory is my father taking me to school on his bicycle every morning. I was so happy every time, and I thank my father for that very much.
