How do you relax?

When the kids are in bed and the housework is finished, what do you like to do? If I have the energy to do anything besides read and watch TV, then I love to scrapbook. I find playing with the pretty papers and the pictures so fun and relaxing. If I'm really ambitious then I'll cross stitch, but that can be hard on tired eyes.

Aside from watching tv or getting online I like to sit on my front porch and look at the stars after the mosquitoes go to bed. We live in a rural area with very little traffic so it's quiet and there's usually a nice breeze.

Me too! About 2 years ago we moved to a place where we can see the STARS! It's great.

That sounds heavenly - we have too many blackflies this time of year, but in the fall, I like to put on a jacket and do the same thing.

Good for you. I don't have the patience for that myself, but I love to read what other people write.

I have to admit i'm a little old fashioned - i love to write letters :) I have loads of wonderful pen pals from all over the globe & when my daughter goes to bed & i've finished tidying up after her, i like to curl up on the couch with my folder of nice paper & a couple of letters & i just sit there & reply to them - while i watch whatever is on TV! I don't think there's a more relaxing things for me to do - i sometimes manage to get a couple of letters done during the day as well - when little miss is asleep so that's always a nice way to chill in between the cleaning & playing! Other wise, if i have no mail here to reply to, i like to eBay or just sit on the couch with my partner & watch a movie or whatever is on TV at the time. Anything that involves as little as possible!

It's so nice to hear that someone still likes to correspond the old fashioned way. I know I like to get real letters because you can sit and hold them and reread them over and over. I haven't written one myself since my parents got a computer and I started e-mailing them. Great hobby!

Do you play or compose the music yourself, or emmerse yourself into tunes from the CD player? Either way is a great way to kick back.

After my children are in bed I am usually watching what I would like to on TV, spending time on the internet. I also enjoy scrapbooking as well. I love to arrange pictures into photo albums too. I'm such a picture person I have over 400 pictures of my kids. Usually I'm just kicking back watching TV as I'm usually beat by their bed time. :)

I'm with you. I have scrapbooks and photo albums because sometimes I like to just sit down with an album and look at old pictures and remember good times. One of the draw backs of a digital camera is that I spend so much money getting pictures developed. It seems that all the pics of my kids are so cute that I want them all!
