I just recieved my mail, and in it were 2 letters from my children's school. My 5 year old twins are in Kindergarten, and were tested a month ago on a state wide level. The letters today were the results. The best they could score was a 99%, and each test stated the grade level they were equivelent to. Now mind you Kindergarten ends this week. For my son- Reading was 61% and grade level K.9 (meaning 9 months into kingergarten)-that is an average score Language was 59% and grade level K.9 Math was 22% and grade level K.0 so a bit below average there Total score is 45% and grade level K.6 which is average.... Now my daughter- Reading was 83% and 1.4 grade level (4 months into 1st grade), this is slightly above average Language was 99% and grade level 3.4! 99% is the highest grade you can get! Math is 65% and grade level 1.1, this is average and total score is 88% (above average) and grade level 1.7 I am so impressed with my daughter, and I really had to brag to someone, but my hubby and friends are at work and unreachable at the moment. But anyways, with the school year at an end, and the final report cards recieved or on their way... were you impressed or disappointed with your child's scores?

That is great! My oldest is starting Kindergarten this Fall. I hope though, that you give both your twins equal praise even though your son didn't achieve as high scores as your daughter! But congratulations for both of them - that is great!

I actually haven't mentioned it to them yet at all. My daughter has always been just a step ahead of her brother, and we've never made a big deal out of it. We are just happy they are both doing well, because my oldest son is below average in all subjects, and that is frustrating. The twins being average and above average is just a breath of fresh air.

Brag away! That is great news about your daughter. My son finished school about 4 weeks ago. He got the best grades of his life. All A's and B's.
