Police helicopter chased UFO in UK

Hmmm strange hard to believe though as if they were trying ti hit the chopper then how come they miss? and it means they dont have weapons ( Good News as not to much worried as shown in films) But if they were in the area than how come all Radar and other equipment, specially satelites can capture their Pictures?? as with Satelittle they can cover every movement on earth, then why not UFOs?? Regarding UFOs, I have had clients who have come to me in quite an emotional state when nobody's believed that they've seen one. One client asked me if I believed him. I said that I would love to see one, and until I do I cannot believe in them, but I fully accept that he believes he has seen one and he has indeed seen something. Living in South Wales, I have travelled the M4 corridor 1000s of times in my life where most sightings have been, but never seen a thing.. I really wish I had, then I would know for myself what was true and what was false. Until such time, I remain agnostic about it.

I'll bet they had an adrenaline rush when they dodged out of the way, and the "flight or fight" sensation turned toward fight mode and the chase was on. It does sound funny that a helicopter would try to catch a UFO, but when I think about the dog down the road from me who chases my car, I kinda get it. That dog chases my car, knowing he won't catch it. But he never probably considers what would happened if he caught my car. Helicopters are so vulnerable, I wonder if any of them thought about what would happen if they did catch the UFO? LOL!

this is really interesting. I think the police officers were just too curious and started chasing it. as this was a rare incident ever coming to people's sight so I guess they started following it because of being too curious about the object. after all, I would also like to know what kind of creatures that could fly such kind of 'plane'. LOL. wait, I might need someone else to accompany me when I chased them myself.

Really a interesting piece of news.. surely we lack the technology and speed to chase an UFO. What thoughts did the pilot of the copter had.. its really hard to guess. Perhaps the police would have liked to keep a watch on it as long as they can.. and to see anything interesting they could point out. And polachicago.. its is really interesting to read that you have watched the UFO, for more than 3 hours. Wow.. its really amazing, to have a such a kind of experience. Have you observed anything interesting during that time.. How far you were from the UFO.. It really amazes me to talk to one who have seen UFO.. For me, like most of us, these UFO's are a mystery.. Hi polachicago! I won't dispute over the facts of the truth with UFOs. I believe that sometimes we can't even believe what we see and I know that those men knew what they saw. However, I find it really scary and funny at the same time to chase the UFO since it seems we don't have yet the same technology as theirs; therefore, they might be just endangering themselves. Maybe they just want to see how far they can go and if they can get a better view of the UFO. Take care and have a nice day!

Technically, if it's flying and it's unidentified, it's a UFO. It's got a fairly basic definition. I believe that there's life out there beyond the earth and our solar system. It would be a complete waste if there were all those planets and stars with no life. I don't think there are little green men that are interested in anal probing, but there must be something more out there. If the universe is empty except for us, I"ll be very depressed.

How amusing- I assume the police gave chase to get closer to the UFO rather than to arrest whoever/whatever is inside. I have a very funny image in my head of the helicopter following a UFO. I wonder what they would have done if they did catch it?!

I think that it is very funny. First of all, if they caught the craft, what were they going to do, give them a ticket? What is the speed limit for spaceships? Maybe they could check their interplanetary license?

I probably would have done the same thing. Curiosity I guess. I've always been fascinated with UFOs. I saw one when I was about 13 y/o...but I was curious about them before then. It doesn't seem like there are as many sightings here as there were back then.

But think..if they caught them...would they have read them their Miranda rights-- whoops this is Britain -- do they have anything like that? I can see them chasing it -- if only to try and find out what it was. Too bad their was no pictures. You have the right to remain silent. Even if what they saw was really an UFO, they should not have even thought about chasing it especially in something that is not so advance such as a helicopter. Hello! Those aliens came from across the galaxy on a super fast spaceship and they want to chase it in a helicopter? They must be kidding! Nice try there!

I had to read the article and see what you were taling aobut. I know that the pilot wish that he had a camera for that shot to show them what they say. Now that is the first time that I have heard of such a close siting. It had to have been in the day time. That makes it even more interesting to know if it was or was not a UFO. At this point and time you can expect to see any thing. With they come of with a cover story for that siting? Have a good one.

even if this was some sort of secret military aircraft hich seems to be one theory to explain UFO's you would have thought that profssionally trained police helicopter pilots would give it a wide berth rather than chase it as they put themselves and others at risk. Had there been a collisiion the aircraft couold have crashed on a populated area.

I bet they thought they could catch them. lol They should have radioed for jets to take over! I would never say they take there job seriously. lol
