Do you believe Obama is breaking his word?

For the last two years, Obama has said he supports Public Financing for the General Election. He has said he wants to sit down with John McCain to discuss how to preserve having Public Financing. Now, just a couple days ago, Obama came out and said he will NOT try to pursue keeping Public Financing in the General Election. Do you think he is breaking his word just to improve his chances of winning in November by not wanting to have public financing of campaigns?

He's both a politician and a lawyer. Is anyone really surprised by this? Naturally he's breaking his word and has no defense of it other than to say that he thinks the public financing he agreed to follow is broken so he won't be taking part in it. It must have broken sometime between November and now since he said he would use it back then.

Consider this: Obama and many others are simply politicians acting politically!
