Barak Obama - Time for Change

Barak Obama recently won his campaign to run for President as the Democratic candidate. He seems like a nice guy and a good orator, but what is he all about? There was a lot of news about the campaign in my country, but all I kept hearing on the TV news was the 'need for change'. There were people at political gatherings holding up signs with 'change' written on them. When political commentators were interviewed they always brought up this 'need for change'. But nobody ever seemed to explain what they wanted to change into. There was never any in-depth political analysis, just the same recurring sound bite: 'time for change'. What exactly does Obama mean when he speaks of the need for change?

Let us give the guy a chance. All presidential aspirants have skeletons in their closets. What is important is what they can do when elected. The problem is voters can never be sure if these candidates will be true to their words. Lets hope for the best.

I agree, but what does he mean by "change"? I'm still none the wiser :-)

Nobody knows! :) lol America the beautiful...land of the free...you can take a person with little experience...who has spent twenty years in a hate-spewed church and people will vote for him. Liberals.

"Time for a change" is a very popular theme in Australia. Australians get tired of their leader after 10 years and want a new one. That's mostly what "time for a change" is all about. Political party these days have very similar policies. It is not the leader which run the country... but the advisors in their office... never seen by the public. The leader is only a front man presenting the policies made by the political machine running in the background. Politic is about power and money. It pretends to help the little people... but the reality is that politicians are put in place by the bilionnaires of the country so that the government will help them make more billions.

A lot of blogs I have read are dubbing him the most liberal senator in Congress. Among other things he supports partial birth abortion and totally disarming the USA(government included). Those two ideas alone give me plenty of reason not to vote for him.

If you listen to what he has been saying, he supports doing it. His words must have some bearing on his plans.
