Oh no!! I really couldn't care less who's sha**ing who, whether they have 'piled on' an extra 6ounces after eating a burger/ developed a zit/ saddled their baby with some ridiculous name; how they've done their hair or what they are wearing. As for 'celebrity' well, what constitutes being a celebrity these days?? Someone who happened to walk down the same street as the second cousin of a hairdresser who overheard a client mention that she's read (probably in a gossip magazine) that a woman lived 3 streets away from a couple who's son once had coffee with a girl who claimed to have slept with the brother of someone who once auditioned for a reality TV show. So, errr no,I wouldn't say I'm a true celebrity gossip magazine addict ;-D

Couldn't agree more. So-called celebrities are already supposed to be role models for kids making them believe they have to conform to specific sizes, shapes and apparently colours (that lurid orange fake-tan look). Are they actually screwed up and it makes people feel normal, OR are they responsible for making normal people paranoid and screwed up? Each to their own, but i think the gossip magazines deal out the latter.

i think i like to see that celebrities are as screwed up as everyone else.. like britney spears.. me and her are the same age and both bipolar and at least when i feel crazy i can say "im no britney spears!!" referring to her being locked up in the loony bin (not that that is something to make fun of but at least it makes me feel better about how im handling my probs ya know??)

I wasn't knocking anyones choice of reading matter. Each to his/her own. I just have a bit of a thing about the whole concept of 'celebrity' . (But I guess you probably picked up on my subtle clues there, eh?)

I was getting Star magazine for a few years because I had stumbled upon a site where if you filled out some survey or something you could get a subscription to Star for 2 years! It was cool sometimes, especially if there were people in it I like. Although I hate how they trash talk people, I love the magazines for the pictures. I still have I think all my copies still because eventually I wanted to go through them and cut out pictures. LOL I used to look at the tabloids a lot when my grandmama was still alive and got them, she would save them so I could look at them when I was at her house. Actually she let me take them, if I wanted them. haha Also, for a long time I liked the teen entertainment magazines, I probably would still get them, but I don't really know most the people in those anymore. It was like I stopped looking for a while and poof, everyone I like disappeared from them! ahh.. LOL

I'm sorry to say I really don't like gossip magazines. I feel very sorry for the celebrities who are unable to have private lives because photographers are stalking them and taking pics of them doing their shopping or taking their children to school. In Australia, a couple of the gossip magazines have been caught out for telling lies. They make up stories, and have hurt people very much. I would hate to have my privacy and my life invaded this way. I think we have a right to comment on a celebrity if we have paid money to see them perform - but we should mind our own business when it comes to gossip about people's relationships or private lives.

well i can never decide on that topic of how much privacy celebs should be allowed.. i think every one deserves privacy but with their jobs i think they should already be ready and understand that they could be taken pictures of at any time.. i think they should only publish true things at all times that is for sure.. other wise i wish every celebrity would sue or something which i know is impossible but at least when you would read something you would know it was 100% real.. i dont know if you watched the movie paparazzi but they went way to far and bugged the celebrities house and etc.. unless its just stories or pictures i dont agree with it.. but then again that is why all of america's celebrities are all moving to other countries because then they get more privacy lol.. maybe america will catch on soon

I love reading them while I'm grocery shopping because I think they are very funny. I buy a lot of fashion magazines like Allure and Elle. I also love to watch shows like E! that tell what's going on with celebrities. At times it can make me feel really good about myself and my life.
