the reason i ask is that my hubby is a big one and he will go through all these discussions and not reply but look and see what people say.. this bugs me only because its not productive but oh well its his mylot lol.. i only read ones that i think i will reply to and i usually always reply to anything i read instead of creeping around.. although i do see the fun in it i think its silly to not add something to the convo.. what do you guys think?

Hi There, I tend to always reply to the discussions which interest me. I must say there are many discussions that do not and I just tend to avoid those. There is rarely a time however if I have found a discussion that I will read and not reply. I usually read and reply to many of the replies that the discussion already has as well. cheers,

sometimes i am... when i am tired and not in the mood to reply or post, i am happy to just enjoy myself reading other people's posts and responses... i know that it is not productive and we are not being paid for reading... but not everything should be valued with money in my opinion... the knowledge and enjoyment that i get just by reading here sometimes can worth more than the money... take care and have a nice day...

I can read an entire discussion without adding a response to it, when I am interested in seeing what people have to say on the subject but I don't have enough knowledge or experience to add anything myself. Some discussions I just enjoy reading for entertainment but can think of nothing to add. I may read a discussion to see what it's about and then decide I don't want to take part. If the discussion asks a question and it has been answered I feel there is no point in repeating the same answer. Generally I spend as much time reading discussions as I do in writing responses to them.

I'm a bit of a vouyer myself. Often I have nothing to add. Also I'm a fanatic reader. If I stumble across something mildly interesting I will read it thru. To me this isn't all about the money. If it would be, the hourly salary for writing isn't that good. So I post when I feel the urge. Like now after reading paid2write comment. I don't strain myself if I can't think of nothing to add, I simply move on.

my husband does the same thing like yours, in fact after reading some of the posts, he would discuss with me about it and when i ask him to just type out what he said, he would not do, so i get really mad at him, then i ask him to just vacate that place as he is of no use..lol

I respond to most that I read but there are those that I find someone else already gave the same answer that I was going to give so I skip it. Other then that, I answer most that I read. Tianna

I don't mind saying the same thing as others. It's a nice way to meet people and make friends if you discover you have a common interest to another person who shows up in a lot of the same types of discussions you read on a daily basis.

Most of the time. I'm really lazy when it comes to replying discussions.. lol. Only those discussions with substance that makes me want to share my opinion.

Most of the time if I read something I respond to it, because well, I think that it's a good thing to add your opinion to everything. That's what is so great about this site, there are so many different viewpoints! And I have found that, so far at least, I haven't been attacked for saying what I think. I guess that's because people here are mature and open-minded enough to post their opinions and let other people do the same. Friendly debates I guess some could be called. But I do sometimes read some discussions and afterwards feel like I don't really have anything to add to it, and those I usually move on from, but even then I have gone back to them later if I thought of something to say. So I can definitely see reading through them, but for me I feel like just doing that would be a bit of a waste, I mean, if you are gonna read them you might as well post your ideas on the topic and get a little money from it, and who knows who is reading it, you might find friends who have similar opinions or interests.

yeah i want to earn money along with have fun so it would be pointless to just look and not reply.. but i can usually find something to say or a new way to say something that may have already been added

I do not think that your husband is a voyeur, and not responding to any discussion could prove that he is inadequate. On the contrary, he's what I would call an observer, a person that does not take sides and most of all a good listener. I find reading the posts and responses equally interesting and informative, especially when contributors provide objective opinions. It is also an enriching experience with well conceived views. So I do not agree here that he is a voyeur.

no I do not like to do that, but I love to respond to discussions that pique my interest and give as full a response as I can possibly give and hope it helps someone. I like to jump from one category to another to find things that interest me and that I can contribute to intelligently. I skip those that I do not' understand after reading them several times as I find a lot of them get deleted for one reason or another.

I read many more discussions and responses than I reply to. If the discussion or responses don't motivate me to answer, or I just don't have anything to add, I just keep on reading until something sparks my interest, or I find something that I feel I can contribute to. If your husband never answers, then I would guess he is having a great time just listening in.

i try to every time but like i said some times i just dont feel i can really add something or add something at the time and i have to go back but usually if i open it i fully intend on replying just due to the title and first couple of words.. but like you i can usually find something to say about anything i find worth my time and some that dont lol
