My younger brother is getting obese because he lacks exercise and keeps on eating..We discipline him but as he goes old he's getting bigger.. You might have tips not to get obese? You might wanna share it to us?

it's a matter of self discipline and a will to succeed.. just make sure the your brother is not skipping meals rather little by little decreasing the food contents he is eating specially on high fats, high cholesterol and most specially the carbs. don't make an abrupt decease in eating habit coz it won't do good and it don't have any effect as well considering that our body would adapt to any changes and that will slow his metabolism instead. all of those won't be achieve without shedding those extra baggage he's been carrying all the time. discipline and diligence and the will of getting rid of that baggage is the way to do it.

Hi Your brother has to avoid junk and fatty food. Drink more water. Drink atleast 10 glasses of water. Include more fruits and vegetables in his diet. Ask him to do exercise regularly. He can participate in some sports in which he has got some interest.

Do you guys have bikes? Offer to go riding with him! Does he have a baskletball hoop outside? Go shoot a few WITH him! If YOU go with him to play tennis or ride bikes or exercise..not just tell him to go out, but actually grab his hand and go along..that's great! It'll gove you guys a tighter bond later, make it fun for him to go and you'll be a wonderful role model for him! You are worried, so it shows you love your brother. Make it fiun! Take hime to do things and have a good time you'll remember the rest of your lives! Blood is thicker than water!

Obesity is a nightmare for me. IF I ever got that, there's no way than do the diet. Lose some pounds and back to the normal life.

Hi Dorothy, I have been in that position before. I was once 90 pounds heavier that I am now. I am now 5 foot ten and weigh 165 pounds which is ideal for me. It is just a matter of eating less and exercising more. The more your brother exercises, the less he will want to eat. That is just the way the body reacts. I would try to get him out as much as possible. cheers,
