Problems with Ziploc bags

Am I the only one that is having a problem with the latest Ziploc plastic bags? Almost every bag I have used lately has given me a problem. It seems to close fine with no problem. But when we try to open one, it either will not unzip or the zipper will just fly off. Usually, you can't get the bag unzipped even after putting the zipper back on. I open one today and the zipper popped up at the end, coming off some of the thread, but didn't pop completely off. I managed to get it back down on the threads and unzip it.But what we have had to do with most that do this is just split the bags with a knife. I haven't tried the freezer Ziploc bags lately, so I don't know if they would present the same problem or not. I may buy some of those and check them out. I just hate to spend money, though, on something that doesn't work correctly. This is getting to be frustrating. After all,I quit using the other bags because I liked the zippers better. But now,I may be going back to the old type bags, even though some of them present a problem closing as well.

It's been a while since I have had to buy new plastic bags. So I haven't had any trouble with them. I love them because they are so easy to open and close. I have a lot of trouble with the other bags. Since I always try to reuse the plastic bags i do buy the Glad or ziplock brands. I just get so frustrated trying to open the others.

I am wondering if they have recently made a change in their ziplocs. I had never had this problem until I bought my last ones. I love the zippers, but I got tired of them not opening and I had to split the bag to get into them. I have always washed and used them over unless I had meat in them, too, and that's why I like them. But I guess I'll suffer through the other cheaper bags now. They may make me want to go back to Ziploc!

Sometimes that happens to me too. The store brand usually gives me this problem. I try to get the brand name ones and from Costco, they are much sturdier and can be used over and over . I also use it to store my daughter crayons and markers, so I reuse a lot of the bags for her art supply.

Well, I bought some more today and I went back to WalMart's brand. They aren't the real zipper type, but they'll have to do! I have bought some of them that didn't work, either, but at least, they aren't near as expensive as Ziploc brand.

No, your not the only who's had problems with the Ziploc zipper bags. I used to always have problems with them, even the freezer bags don't work. Anytime I would freexe something using the freezer bags, no fail, they would always pop open, poping the zipper off, then whatever I had in it would get freezer burn. I went back to the old type bags, the Ziploc double zipper freezer bags, you know the yellow and blue make green bags? I use those for everything, they always work for me.

I had never had any problem until lately. Then, I began to notice they were hard to move across the top, back and forth. Then, the first zipper popped off. That is when I realized they must have changed the way they make them. Like you, I might just have to go back to those other ones, although I do love the zippers. Just don't like them locking up on me!
