Two Stars Less?

Hi Tamara-sometimes people abuse your topic then that will bring your star rating down other times which am sure wouldn't of happened to you if your discussion is of offence etc then they lower your star rating-there are a couple of other reasons why this happens but am sure other mylotters will tell you-your friend bb littleowl

Your star rating depends on how other myLot members rate your posts. It can rise and fall and rise again. You did well to get a 9 so soon and I'm sure you can reach it once again if you keep posting good discussion posts and responses. The negative rating [-] is only meant to be used for poor responses, but some people use it when they don't like a post or don't agree with it. This goes against the myLot guidelines but they still do it. Generally people give posts a positive [+] rating, and they will leave it unrated if it is not a good response. The system is a bit confusing, but it's all explained in the guidelines and FAQ. Everyone's star ratings go up and down at times, so you should not feel too bad about it.

Hi Tamara, I used to have a 10 star and suddenly overnight it went down to a 7. This was because someone unknown targeted my discussions and marked them all negative, this is what probably has happened to you. Don't get upset or worry just keep posting, keep responding and don't let it affect. It is a shame it has happened whilst you are so new but most people are lovely here on myLot but not all. tamarafireheart the trolls got you, somefellow mylotter got mad at sometghing you said and minused you down from 9 to7 in just overnight, only us mylotters can minus or plus other mylotters,mylot itself does not do that. we users rate each other by plus or minus and some nasty troll decided to push you down to to a 7, they did it to me, but I am now back up to an 8. dont feel bad you will get it back eventually. mylot does not do it, users do it. we rate each other and some misuse the minus and are breaking mylot rules by doing so.

Hi tamara. Star ratings here in mylot changes depending on what members has rated your discussions or your comments. It may change from time to time. Don't worry about the color and the number on it. As long as you give your best in your topics and responses. Just keep on posting, it will increase soon. Mine has changed more often in my first months here and now my star hasn't changed for 2 weeks now. But it doesn't really matter. Keep posting my dear friend. Have a nice day.
