Cat bully.

I have one cat that likes to bully my other two cats. I have found if I catch him in the act and pin him down to the floor and hold him there for a few minutes, it seems to defuse the aggression he has towards the other two cats. It works really well and it doesn't hurt him at all. I wanted to share this with others who might have the same problem going on with their cats.

My Mimi cat is a perennial grouch and growls at my other calico Waffles and a recently-adopted stray, Maxie. If I tried to do anything to her, she'd bite me, so I let the other two cats deal with her. I also hang around for a few minutes and supervise them all, just in case the problem gets worse. But it doesn't, thankfully, and pretty soon, each cat is back in his/her own corner. Honestly, I sometimes think that cats are worse than kids.

While Jake is attacking Scoots, she is swatting with her clawless paws and growling as well. Before Her I had no idea that a cat could growl.

My old grey cat growls like a german shepard. I swear he sounds like a dog. His name is Buddy and he likes to sit on my lap and get massaged. The bully is Mr. Pips and my other cat is Sammy. Actually, for all of them being male, they get along, usually, quite well. Mr. Pips has an eating disorder where he is always hungry. He also has a sensive stomach. I have found cat food that has yogurt works well for him. If I give him canned food he only gets a teaspoon or two. He doesn't want for anything, in fact he is spoiled. I think that is mostly his problem.

I know exactly what you are talking about. My male cat is the bully, my little girl is so intimidated by him, she stopped talking. She says nothing, no meow or nothing, so when she does make a sound, my husband and I jump immediately to see what she may want. She never comes in our bedroom anymore, because Jake is in there most of time. Just a half hour ago, I was lying on my bed, I opened my closet door, because Jake wanted to go in there to sleep. While lying on the bed I see movement and look, and it was my Scootsie, who came tentatively into my room. She saw the closet door open and slowly went, I could see Jake, he sat up and just starred at her. She saw him and immediately turned around and left the room When we go to bed at night, Jake thinks it is his change to beat her up. The noise she makes is heart wretching. Jake is so fast, when he sees me coming after him, he will run under the dining room table where I can not get to him. He knows he is wrong, my husband says, OH, he won't hurt her, but he has claws she does not. If she is in the window and want to get down, if she see Jake near, she won't leave the window. He is such a bully to her, but a scardy cat when it storms, the storms doesn't bother her.

Is he nutured? It sometimes helps. In the past with a cat that is too aggressive, I would take the offender and give him a bath. They learn quickly that being a bully leads to bath time, they will usually back off. The cat I have right now has gotten many bathes. Many, many bathes. He is better then he was, but he still hates being on a diet. But then so do all of us...

Never thought about the bath, yes, Jake is neutered. He is so freaky, he may enjoy the bath, every time my husband or I get out of the shower, Jake goes in, he like the wet tub. (silly cat)
