Hey there fellow mylotters I was watching 3 news last night when some think come on tv and I was just wondering to myself how could any supermarket could do a think like what happened to this person in Christchurch Newzealand it was a lady in a wheelchair she went in to a supermarket pak n save to be exact and just because she was in a wheel chair she would not get the service and help that she wanted and they kicked her out of the supermarket only because she was disabled I ask you this do you think that is good anove that just because some one was disabled they did not get the service I think it is very rude as every one no matter who they are should have the right to go into a supermarket and get the service they want and not get more or less kicked out just because they happen to have a disability but that is just me I do not think it is right but any way what is your say on this the matter to you think it is fair or not?.

Do the people in that store think that because a person is disabled that they never have to eat? What boneheads! Everyone involved in that mess should be forced to take some sort of sensitivity training. And the store should publicly apologizing to this poor woman!

Hey there I would totally agree with you disability or none it does not give any one the right to discrimanate against any one else but unfortentally here in New zealand it happens so much with even as little as it boling down to if some one has a diffrent skin colour and I would totally agree with you that the store should difentally should be apoligizing to the poor women that they discrimanated against. Love loveyoohbaby xoxo.

Hi loveyoohbaby, I believe that this supermarket may find themselves in trouble with the law. If not I'm sure the publicity will cause them to apologize and make sure it doesn't happen again. Here in Canada all supermarkets have special parking places for the disabled, and any employee treating them with disrespect would soon find themselves out of a job. Blessings.

Hey there Thank you for your responds I would agree they should be in trouble with the law we also here in newzealand have special parking for the disabled and have disabled parking cards dispite the fact of many young people the most that take the disabled parking spaces over here to get to use a disabled parking space you are meant to have the card on your dash board only reason I happen to know this is my mother has a disabled parking card. Love loveyooh baby xoxo.

That is something that would have not happened here in the US. That is really strange that they would do that to someone. The could have at least got someone to shop for her if they were not going to let her come in the store. From time to time I have read some really strange things that go on in other countries. I always thought that no matter where you like they always look out for the handicap. But I see that I was wrong about that.

To me this is cruel and should not happen anywhere in this world. People with disabilities don't choose to have them and those who prevent them from living a normal life should be ashamed of themselves. Here in America, most stores have wheel chair access and provide parking spaces for handicapped people. Hey, this woman should sue the store or can she in New Zealand?

Hello there ^_^ I think thats absolutly alful! its uncalled for an just down right mean of the supermarket to do such a thing. I worked in a supermarkt for a while, and nothing like that is tolarated what so ever. If a disabled person comes in, the help desk goes up to them and asks them if they would like some assistants, if they reply yes, they get one of the staff members from the shop floor to assist them around the store, weather it be holding there basket or pushing there trolly, or even to help them if they are blind. They have specialy electric chairs that the store provids for people who cant walk very well. (= I think that person has full right to sew and write an offical complaint to the head office. Its sick, what this world is coming to. .

No it is not fair, and it is inhumane to discriminate against any one. especialy anyone that has a disability. This store should be ashamed of itself. this woman, has rights just like everyone else.

Hey there I there I would have to totally agree with you least of all with some one having a disability and I would agree totally with you that the store should be ashamed of themselfs and every one does have the right to walk in to a store and get what they want without getting told to go away for any reason least of all if it is because they just so happen to have a disability. Love loveyoohbaby xoxo.

Here in the U.S., she'd be a rich woman after a lawsuit! That is horrible of that store, I would hope that everyone would boycott them, not do business with them. Better yet, I hope those people are put in that situation someday and treated exactly the same way!

Well of course it's unfair. I have a brother in law that's disabled and sometimes people discriminate against him too. When he goes to the mall with us people treat him differently, they stare and some even point. Like if they never saw someone like him before, it's just plain judging and i hate it when people do that. We once went to the supermarket and a little girl asked him what's wrong with him. He told her and she frowned, then walked away. What they did to that woman was wrong and she should have complained to the manager, because most of the time they understand or if not she should go to the local newspaper. let them write them up. I love disabled people and what that supermarket has done, has gotten me angry.
