I am almost done with my shopping. BUT, I have good reason. lol. I am going to the US for 5 weeks, starting Dec 9. I'm American, but live in England, and I haven't been "home" for about 5 years now. I am taking my husband and my son with me and I am super excited. I usually wait until Dec1 (OR Black Friday (last friday in Nov), when in the USA) but this year I need all my shopping done so I can travel and not have to worry about shopping.

Group gifts - a group of friends at christmas
Well I can't really complain about the fact that you've allready almost finished as you have a very valid reason for doing so. Mind you unless you are going back home next year aswell, make sure you don't do it again.......LOL Thanks for the reply.

Oh yes...I have tried to start that early this year for once. I am usually rushing around at the last minute and it makes for a very stressful holiday. Not only are you rushing around and usually not finding what you want because they are usually sold out of it but then you have to wrap all of it. So it is feeling good that I am getting started already this year.

No, no, no......you'll be saying you've finished next, the rushing around is all part of christmas, christmas is not a time for relaxing it is 1 week of pure stress, it's in the rules.....LOL Thanks for the reply.

Stocking - christmas stocking
A person after my own heart, I think starting too early kills the christmas spirit. Thanks for the reply.

A Gift From A Friend - This cross was a present from a wonderful friend.
Sort of. I am making handmade card sets (www.madamerubies.com) for a lot of people and I started making those months ago. I am still saving money to buy my boys their bikes, though.

I usually dont start shopping for christmas until right after thanksgiving...thats when all the big holiday sales start! and shopping is alot more easier right after thanksgiving, rather than the week before christmas when everyone is rushing, plus if you wait that long, you dont get all the good stuff!!

I started Xmas shopping mid-October because I had a bit of money spare and I was bored so I went out to buy me something and ended up seeing things and saying to myself "ooh that'll be nice for so-and-so for Xmas" so I got quite a few things, I've got a few things being delivered, but I'm still stuck for things to buy for a few people.

Christmas presents - Mickey with Christmas presents
Not yet, but I have already given the matter some thought. It is difficult to purchase presents before December unless you are absolutely certain what product you wish to give because circumstances change all too quickly. Within the next few weeks I shall be looking at filling my freezer. Like many people I overstock from the food and drinks aspect, but at least I can feel confident that I do not need to go out shopping over the holidays.

I have only purchased 4 or 5 gifts. I am waiting until the day after thanksgiving sales to get the majority of it done. I usually pick up things during the year. But this year, I have not been doing that.

I am the biggest procrastinator(sp?) when it comes to just about everything. I have stuff left over from last year that was given to me for the kids but they had already gotten enough stuff. I plan on using that and maybe getting a few more things. I have two b-days to worry about on the 19th and 29th of December so I need to get busy. Shawnasie
