Just wondered if the living descendent of Jesus is amongst us, wouldnt it change the way religion is organised would the power brokers listen to him or kill him?

i think they would kill him, because if they addmit that there is a descendant of Jessus they will have to explain a lot and people would realise that they were ling to us and they'r gonna loose they'r authorithy

The only thing with that, is if there was only two descendants of Jesus, that was over two thousand years ago, and there would now be over two million descendants! I saw it online last week, if you only have two children, and each one has two children, how many descendants would you have in "so many" years?

I think proving that there is a descendant of Jesus among us would be difficult if not impossible to do. I am not saying that there is not a descendant or two among us. I personally believe that the church has altered and hidden and changed many things to conform with what they want us to believe. I don't see it as a threat to civilization at all. The book was great, unfortunately the movie did not do it justice.

A good book, and no threat - at least it shouldn't be. I don't know if I take it as fiction or a possible reality but one way or another I can't see it as a threat. That Jesus as a human had human aspirations and feelings doesn't seem that strange to me. Marrying and having children is nothing nasty or bad - the Bible advocates it -. So it could be possible and real even if not in the same way the book portrays. If it would change the way religion is organized.... even if it did, it would certainly be a good thing from where I stand. Would this descendent be heard or killed.... do you think that there would be the minimal chance that he/she would be heard? I don't . So if it was true, the best choice was to stay hidden unless there was a master plan or some divine schedule to be followed. Either way, Davinci code is a good book. That it might possibly contain any truth or not doesn't change the quality of the book.

Seeing that the lineage has been lost, I don't think anybody would believe him, in the same way as people these days make claims to be the Son of God. They seem to get a small following, but usually get ignored at best or ridiculed in some way. I don't think such a claimant would be killed though - at least no openly.

I do not know, but I do not think it would make a lot of difference! I think the book is a good thing, as is anything that makes people think and wonder! It certainly was discussed a lot when I went to school!
