i kinda like to hang out with people that are older than me. thats usually because i am usually the youngest person in the group. i just dont like hanging out with younger people because if i'm the oldest i have to act more mature and i have to go the extra-mile. when i am with older people i have wasy more fun because i dont have to be responsible all the time. who do you like to hang out wiht more?

I seem to get along really well with people who are older than me. I've never been able to identify with people my own age. They always seemed immature (although I'll be 30 next year, so hopefully those people my age are finally growing up!) I like to have mature conversations and it's difficult to do that with people my own age sometimes.

Remember, aging is mandatory, but maturity is optional!

First, welcome to myLot. You'll love it here, because it's a worldwide family of friends. I can't imagine why anyone's age would matter. No matter who's with you, always just be yourself! You aren't a teacher or counselor for those yunger than you; just a friend. Your question made me think about it, and I realized my eldest friend is 89, andmy youngest friend is five years old. Most friends of mine are between 20 and 65. That's a big range. I'm not just saying these are people I'm with for one reason or another; they're really friends. I was sitting on a bench at the mall, sipping coffee and reading a book, and a little boy walked up to me and asked if I would read to him. I asked if he had a book with him, but he wanted me to read my book to him. I read a couple of paragraphs aloud, and he seemed to be enthralled. He said he loves the way it sounds when grown-ups read. A couple of times a week, he searches for me in the mall, and sometimes he brings a book, but he usually wants me to read from mine. He tells me silly but funny jokes, and now that I know he's there because his mother works in the kiosk near that bench, I make it a point to go there. My 89 year-old friend and I love to argue about politics, and the way we wish the US could be. As with any other friends, including the ones on myLot, we just enjoy being together!

I dont really 'hang out' - well, not in the sense you mean anyway ... but I can usually get along ok with people of pretty much any age and can still have fun.Trust me, being the oldest doesn't mean you have to act mature =o)

I prefer to hang out with people that's older than me. I'm just used to people being older than me though. Haha. Although I think the other reason is because I tend to be a bit more mature than people younger than me as well (or at least that's what other people said). Plus older people are sometimes more relaxed or laid back than most younger people. That's just my opinion though. Haha.
